Estate Wine Sale!🍷

Greetings and Happy Washington Wine Month! March is one of two months designated by The Washington Wine Commission to celebrate all things Washington wine and vine. This is a proud time for all of us in the WA state wine industry, especially for those of us who have been established here for many years. Of course, we celebrate Washington wine every month with regular wine specials and events!

Since it is WA Wine Month, and since all our wines are WA state wines, we thought long and hard about what the next sale should be. And rather than choosing one particular wine, we decided to offer you a package deal, that included not one, not two, but six different wines! AND SO, your next online deal will be an Estate Grown wine sale!

Once upon a time, our small vineyard accounted for the majority of wines we made. Those were the early days of Cascade Cliffs, back when the winery was still a baby and establishing itself. And although now we procure much more fruit from top vineyard sites throughout the state, our small vineyard is still intregal to our brand and a great source of pride for us. It accounts for maybe 25% of our overall production, offering distinct and unique wines to our customers.

Saturday, February 14th: Valentine’s Day Theme Tasting in Woodinville! This Valentine’s Day, we’re turning up the chemistry... Let wine be your Valentine. This isn’t about hearts, chocolates, and flowers. It’s about connection, and a little indulgence. Why fight for a reservation at a crowded restaurant or stress about impressing your date? When, in reality, you could just make your way to our Tasting Room and let the wine do the talking? Don’t worry, we will feed you too.

Saturday, February 21st: Cabernet Sauvignon “Stations Tasting” in Wishram! We’ll be hosting private tastings at different stations at the winery, focusing on our award-winning Cabernet Sauvignon wines. You can sign up for this tasting, choosing time slots of 12:30, 2, or 3:30 PM. Each group will have up to 12 guests, with select wines poured for you and charcuterie served for our attendees.

Nebbiolo (Neb-ee-OH-low). We have the second-oldest planting (1988) in the Pacific NW and have been producing vintages for over thirty years now. It is a wine we are very proud of, as it takes more work, both in the vineyard and the winery, than most any other. Having success with Nebbiolo outside of Italy is no easy task, but it’s a labor of love.

If you already have a love affair with Nebbiolo, you’re probably aware that the very best version of this grape comes from Piedmont, Italy, where the great Barolo and Barbaresco wines are made. You may also know that there are unoaked versions made there as well, such as “Langhe Nebbiolo”. These Nebbiolo wines are typically unoaked and made into a fresh, lighter style, ready to drink and enjoy immediately. Which is a pleasant option to have, given the fact that traditional, barrel-aged Nebbiolo often requires years in the bottle for it to be at its best.

AND SO, your next online deal is for our 2023 Unoaked Nebbiolo! This wine, made from 100% McKinley Springs Vineyard fruit in the Horse Heaven Hills AVA and aged quickly in stainless steel, is approachable and incredibly enjoyable right now. It has low tannins, soft acidity, and a mouthful of dried cherry and wild strawberry flavors. The finish is still long and dry, though, and can be paired with your favorite pasta dishes, grilled salmon, and aged cheeses. You can drink this red wine at normal room temperature (65-70 degrees Fahrenheit) or put a slight chill on it for an even more refreshing experience. As it should be for a lighter-style red wine, the ABV is a relaxed 13.2%.

The 2023 Unoaked Nebbiolo is also priced for the people, retailing at $35/bottle; club members pay $26.25. Saturday and Sunday, December 6th and 7th: More Winter Futures Tastings! We’ve been sampling our selected winter futures wines for the past couple of weeks, and we’ll continue to pour and discuss these wines this coming weekend at all three locations. Come on by and have a sip of the soon-to-be-bottled 2024 Blood Red Barbera, Red Mountain Syrah, Black-Label Goat Head Red, and more! No reservations needed.

Friday, December 12th: 🎄 Christmas Tree Lighting in Woodinville! Swing by our Woodinville tasting room and take part in this festive night by bringing your own ornament to put on the tree... Call it the “Cascade Cliffs Community Tree”, a symbol of shared love for wine. Club members who contribute to this tree will receive extra discounts on wine purchases. The actual lighting of the tree will take place at 5 PM. No reservations needed.

Saturday and Sunday, December 13th and 14th: Holiday Treats and Wine Pairing! We’ll provide the wine, you bring the treats... Stop into any of our tasting rooms this weekend with your homemade goodies, and we’ll reward you with extra discounts on any wine purchase (not to be combined with any current sales)! WINTER FUTURES 2025 🍷

2024 Estate Arneis & 2022 Ami red blend🍷

We planted this Piedmont white varietal in our vineyard in 2019, and this is our second vintage. If you’ve had traditional Arneis (are-NACE) from Piedmont’s Roero region, you might guess that this is a lighter, more neutral, and dry white wine. But our style typically veers towards a more rich and expressive fruit profile. Concentrated flavors of yellow peach, marmalade, and orange zest are followed by a bright, semi-dry finish. Fermented and aged in stainless steel, here is a great starter - and finisher - wine for your holiday meals. The wine retails for $35, club members pay $26.25. There are approximately 45 cases remaining.

2022 Ami Rhone blend

The 2022 Ami (ahh-ME) is a luscious combination of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre (GSM). Syrah and Mourvèdre make up 80% of the blend (40% each), with 20% Grenache rounding it out. The varietals were barrel-aged separately for 6 months, then blended into tank before bottling. The result was a very fruity, very amiable blend, loaded with ripe, dark fruit. Juicy black and blueberry flavors mingle effortlessly and thanks to low levels of acid and tannin, this is a drink now style of wine. The wine retails for $45, club members pay $33.75. There are approximately 55 cases remaining.
