🍗 Chicken Wings with Apple Jalapeño Glaze

Sweet, spicy, buttery and just a little boozy—these wings are perfect for a fall day or tailgating party!

Glaze:
• 1 cup Apple Jalapeño Jam
• ½ cup water
• ¼ cup bourbon
• 2 tbsp butter

Simmer the glaze ingredients together, then add 2 lbs. chicken wings and cook until the wings are done and coated in that delicious glaze. If you’re making them at home, finish them under the broiler for a little extra caramelization. 🔥

🧀 Apple Jalapeño Grilled Cheese

Sharp cheddar + buttery toasted bread + a layer of Apple Jalapeño Jam = ❤️

The sweetness of the apple and the heat of the jalapeño are fantastic with a salty, sharp cheddar cheese. It’s the kind of grilled cheese that makes you wonder why you didn’t add jam sooner!

🌞 The garden is in full swing, and we’ll have plenty of fresh produce at the Madison County Farmers’ Market-Huntsville, AR this Saturday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM!

🍅 We will have lots of tomatoes and cucumbers, perfect for canning, slicing, or enjoying fresh from the garden.

Canning season is in full swing here on the homestead, and it’s been keeping us on our toes for the past three weeks. The days are long and our feet are tired, but seeing the pantry shelves fill up makes every bit of it worthwhile.

So far we’ve tucked away more than 30 jars of tomato sauce, 12 quarts of spaghetti sauce, 12 quarts of sauerkraut, over 20 jars of pickles, and more than 30 jars of green beans. We even put up some peach lemonade concentrate, and we can’t wait to open a jar this winter and enjoy a taste of summer.

Still on the canning table are more spaghetti sauce, pizza sauce, tomato soup, carrots, and even squash and zucchini. We think we may have found a way to keep them from turning mushy—here’s hoping! There’s nothing quite like the satisfaction of putting up the harvest and knowing your family will enjoy the fruits of your labor all winter long.
