Mirror P Miniature Donkeys Our ADMS registered miniature Mediterranean donkeys are raised with love to be wonderful pets and companions - we love longears! And we bet you will too!

Years ago I became an admirer when I saw my first miniature donkey, a weanling jack named Bud Light that my friend Jean Roark brought home from the Bishop Mule Show... she told me she was getting more from a guy in Texas and I asked her, "Does he have more???" and he did, so I became a convert when we brought home our first 3 jacks from MacFord Ranch, thanks Jim Stafford!!! Over the next few years as I became an addict we made 3 more trips to Texas, buying more jack foals from Jim and jennets from Diane Marino. And now, for the benefit of folks in this area who want miniature donkeys and cannot afford the time or money for a 4-day trip to East Texas, I have become a pusher LOL, raising miniature donkeys here so that they are readily available. So far I have sold every foal, except those I have kept, before it was weaned, and I have a list of folks waiting for the next batch of foals. I only breed a few a year, and I will stop when the demand stops, but for now we are good to go, and the funds raised from the sale of the foals are added to the hay fund which supports the rescues we take in as well as our own herd. I like to think that my beloved donkeys are giving back to their not-so-lucky compatriots that find their way to us - as the starfish story goes, "It makes a difference to THIS one!"

Totally forgot to post this farewell to Ellie Mae, just before loading her to go to her retirement home where she will be spoiled and loved! Check out “her” jack Buttons in the background, protesting losing one of “his” girls 😂😂 But she’s ready to retire and will have the BEST home 🥰

And then there were 27…

Couldn’t post photos of everybody else without honoring the main man himself, our founding herdsire now retired, Dillon 💙 I wasn’t able to keep his daughters until the end when he was gelded, very happy that he gave me Stella Rae and Rosalind Kate!

September 1st means only 2 months until the start of the 2026/2027 foaling season, thought I’d share the guesstimate I usually do for myself at this time. Buttons in the first picture, his harem as follows: Olivia Kay, no clue 🤷‍♀️ Polly Anna, in person looks wider than the photo, no neck roll so hoping that’s a baby bump. Tabitha, and then Kierra, both going in open after weaning spring foals this summer. Rosalind Kate also going in open, gave her a break after she lost her spring foal which was her first. Stella Rae, same status as Olivia, they are besties and were caught body blocking Buttons from each other, so separated the last couple of heat cycles and 🤞🤞 Lastly, Margie Grace, again photo doesn’t look as wide as in person, fairly sure of her but not positive.

September 1st means only 2 more months until the 2026/2027 foaling season starts, so I usually guesstimate for myself and thought I’d share this year. Silver Dollar is first picture and his harem follows: Seranade, going in open after weaning her spring foal over the summer. Wanda Jean, I’m confident has a baby on board. Sarah Beth, I think so but not positive. Dorothy Lynn, returned to him in the spring after weaning last fall’s foal, so could only be at most 6 months along, but again I think yes that’s a baby on board. Jessica DeAnn going in open like Seranade. Kym I’m sure she’s got a baby in there. And Nova Suzanne, was maiden, this angle doesn’t look like much but caught her laying flat out a couple of weeks ago and the resulting belly mound makes me fairly confident she’s carrying too!

September 1st means only 2 more months until the 2026-2027 foaling season, so I normally do a guesstimate for myself. Thought this year I’d share… so, starting backwards with Tony, the youngest jack, as once all are posted anyone scrolling down from the top will go in order 👍🏻

First picture, Tony… then his harem as follows: Impressions, switched to Tony this season after losing her gastroschisis foal, decided since I have options not to repeat that breeding even though it was ok prior… so introduced November 1, I’m going to say definitely a foal in there! Next photo Sherry Lynn, no clue on her 🤷‍♀️ she was maiden so might just be keeping it close? Next two are Thumbelina and Dominique respectively, both going in open as they weaned spring foals over the summer. Then Cindy Lynn, iffy, I think that’s a baby bump rather than fat as she has no neck roll, but at this point I’m not certain. Then Cassandra Rose, same as her mama, iffy. And lastly Mary Jane, I’m pretty confident that’s a baby on board!
