Thorpe Vineyard is situated on the south shore of Lake Ontario, adjacent to the beautiful Chimney Bluffs State Park, and about halfway between Rochester and Syracuse, New York. Tasting Room Hours*

The Little Winery on the Great Lake has a small Tasting Room with a capacity of about 15 people. We do not accept Bus or Limo visits during our regular tasting room hours. Please contact us for arrangem

ent if you wish to come in a large group. We have a few picnic tables on the lawn where you can enjoy our wine as well. Please keep your pets on leash at all times on our premises. Thank you. The first blossoms of the Beach Rose and Iris! The sun is high and so bright, but the cold Lake water keeps it in the 50s here. Along with the Lily-of-the-Valley that started to bloom a little earlier, it's so fragrant and delightful here in this early summer season!

Monday 18 May: Clouds are fast approaching from the west, but we have a good chance catching the conjunction of the very thin crescent Moon and Venus in the western sky around and shortly after sunset tonight, from 8:30 to 10 pm. Go outside, if it's not cloudy yet at your location, and look above the western horizon. The Moon will wax each day and will come close to Jupiter the next two nights. Finally the temps have moderated so it will be fun to follow our Satellite and the Planets in our Family of the Solar System. Enjoy a nice evening!
