Last week's wedding at Sandiwood Farm was nothing short of amazing! We experienced three seasons in one night: calm weather, then strong winds, followed by torrential rain. But what a reward it was! A breathtaking double rainbow appeared after the storm, along with a gorgeous sunset and even shooting stars. The couple and their guests were wonderful, cozying up in the agritourism greenhouse. I had the honor of officiating this beautiful ceremony.

About the Music

Longtime Burlington musician Stacy Starkweather returns from a 17-year California sabbatical to perform with his son, Jack Beatson, for a special hometown show at Sandiwood Farm. (Stacy once lived in the schoolhouse across the street!)

Enjoy acoustic and semi-acoustic interpretations of songs by The Band, the Grateful Dead, Richard Thompson, Tom Waits, and original compositions. The performance will feature acoustic and electric guitars, mandolin, upright and electric bass, and special guest vocalist Erin Forker of Pennsylvania.

Expect great music, plenty of laughter, dancing, and an unforgettable evening in a beautiful farm setting.

Sandiwood Farm is located 1.8 miles up Town Hill Road off Route 15 in Wolcott. Look for Box 1785 on the right; the driveway to the farm will be on the left.

Loving the early greenhouse crops! Peas almost ready, just harvested these almost #3 Napa cabbages and zucchini from parthenocarpic seeds, beets and carrots coming right along, so many nutritious greens! Come visit the farm. Still plenty of seedlings and of course our maple syrup!

Home food production has always been important for community and household food security, but it’s been especially essential during times of widespread hardship. During World Wars I and II, the U.S. government encouraged families to plant Victory Gardens, preserve storage crops, raise chickens, and curb food waste to alleviate pressure on a strained food system. We are excited to announce the opening of our Farm stand and Agritourism Greenhouse, which will be open every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, starting May 8th! Stop by for a bountiful selection of healthy organic plants and fresh produce, and choose from a wide variety of cold-tolerant seedlings that are hardened off and ready to thrive in your garden!

We have large variety of veggie starts, vibrant flowers, culinary and medicinal herbs, perennials and more! Most plants are affordably priced at just $2 or $2.50 each.

These healthy seedlings are grown in the best organic compost-based potting soil which will give your garden the charge it needs for a great start!

We also have farm-made Deep Woods pottery and our artisan maple syrup available in person or with nationwide shipping.
