Strykers Foxy Piper (barn name Stryker). 2013 registered chesnut gelding. Stands a true 15.2 and when fit he's about 1200 pounds. He's probably about 1300 pounds right now as not being ridden. Not for beginners. He would do best with a confident and calm rider.
Less Great aspects of him: 95% of the time he's great but spooky the other 5%. Unfortunately, there is no way of knowing what is going to spook him. When he spooks he will spin or try to bolt but as soon as he hits the bit he stops. He is sensitive to a bad fitting saddle and I think that has caused his spookiness. Fitted barrel saddle available for purchase. He did have a fracture to his left fibula when he was 4. Vet assured me that it would not affect his soundness and it hasn't.
Great aspects: I have ridden him just about everywhere except the beach. I have shown him in equitation and trail classes, sorted cows, gathered cows and bulls out in pasture, parked cars at the rodeo, and ridden in a parade. He rides out alone or in a group just fine. He is not crazy about water but will cross it and I've taken him in a lake. He's very friendly and loves people. He loves to play in the pasture and I call him the annoying little brother as he likes to annoy the other horses until they play with him. He stands for the farrier and although barefoot now has had shoes. He's even been hot shod. He will stand tied all day and trailers well, although I've never loaded him in a straight load. He's been in a slant load with dividers and mine is more of stock type trailer. Easy keeper and he bathes and clips.
Sells with papers but recently sent in to get updated with his brand. Vet check welcome. Current on 5 way and West Nile vaccinations, deworming, and farrier.
