Born and raised in El Paso, TX and transplanted to Albuquerque, NM I have had the privilege to watch my parents build a catering and restaurant business from which I got my passion for food. My cheesecake story starts in 2013, when a good friend of mine asked if I could bake a cheesecake for his birthday. It was a hit and from there on I received more orders. After tinkering with recipes and many

different ingredients, I hit the perfect recipe that is unique to me. These cheesecakes have been sold in my parents restaurant and I am proud to say that they have been TripAdvisor rated #1 in the city of Albuquerque for 3 years now. Fast forward to the present, I have made Lubbock, Texas my new home and look forward to bringing Lubbockites my cheesecakes to enjoy as well as a taste of New Mexican food. Well… I’m embarrassed. I had a customer friend bring me cash plus a little container of salsa that her son makes fresh that they share with me. I was busy so I tossed the cash and container onto the plush armchair I have in here to relax when I have a moment. I had some down time so I took a seat for a couple moments then up I go to start serving again. I just BARELY noticed that I squished it and it’s all over my back side of my pants and almost everybody I served today was after she gave the salsa, so if you saw anything crazy looking on my behind that’s what it was! 😫😭 😳

With my imminent departure from Lubbock out in the open now, I have a whole lot of people begging for recipes. I’m not quite sure what to do about this! I was not taught how to cook anything by anybody. No recipes were ever passed down to me, except a couple from my grandma. I have literally just winged it every time I make something, from my Red Chile sauce to how I make my beans. Thoughts?! 🤔
