Theres additional agricultural producers at the market plus bakers and makers too. And Naan Walla’s Taste of India is serving delicious food, I’m currently enjoying their loaded masala tots. 🚨 Grape Emergency Alert! 🚨

We regret to inform you that this Wednesday’s Grape Selection at the Wonder Lake Farmer and Makers Market might be a bit... less grape-y than we originally planned. 🍇😅

I had been diligently watching our grapes, waiting for them to turn that perfect shade of purple. I thought, “Monday or Tuesday, they’ll be ready!” But, surprise! 🦃 Our local rafter of wild turkeys (TIL: a flock of turkeys is actually called a rafter) also had their eyes on our grapes, and they didn’t wait for an invitation! 😳

This afternoon, my husband came running in, whisper shouting my name. Turns out, our feathered friends had turned our grape arbor into their personal buffet! 📸 I managed to snap a pic of the guilty parties at the grapes and then casually strolling away, bellies full of our prized Concords. 🦃🍇

So, while we won’t have nearly as many grapes as we’d hoped, we will have some very content turkeys wandering around. 😂 Who knew turkeys had such refined palates? See you at the market on Wednesday, and remember: turkeys prefer Concord grapes! 🦃🍇

P.S. I’ll be here, coming to terms with our loss and questinioning why I hadn’t added Turkey catastrophe to my 2026 Adventures in Farming Bingo Card.

The produce is in coolers, the van is packed, and we’re patiently waiting in the pick up line for our youngest at the wit school so that we can head to the market. August is a great month for farmers markets but a little busy for parents… want to make your evening better? Come see us at The Wonder Lake Market happening from 4-8pm tonight at 4444 Thompson Road in Wonder Lake. We’ve got produce, La Pequeña Mariposa🦋🍦🌮 is bringing you dinner fast from their food truck and the other vendors have so many fantastic things to offer. This year, we’re taking a different path and are choosing not to grow mums ourselves. Instead, we are thrilled to support the Cub Scout in our household by helping him and his pack raise funds for their exciting activities, outings, and learning opportunities throughout the year!

We proudly support Wonder Lake Cub Scout Pack #456 in their fundraising efforts by offering beautiful mums for sale in a 9” pot. These stunning mums come in a variety of vibrant colors: orange, purple, red, white, and yellow. Perfect for brightening up your fall garden!

Our ladies are laying eggs faster than we can eat them. Standard size quail eggs $2 a dozen and JUMBO sized quail eggs are $3 a dozen.

We also have radishes, salad mix, sugar snow peas, tomatoes, and yellow wax beans in the fridge in our farm stand. Also leeks, Nootka rose garlic, and potatoes.

Oh… and we also have peaches. Stop by our farm-stand, it will be open until 7pm today, Saturday 7/25/26.
