Our Cub Scout is only 8 mums away from reaching his fundraising goal. If you’re in McHenry County and are interested in purchasing a mum please use the QR code above to help him reach his goal, if you send me a direct message we can even deliver it to you. Aren’t local or don’t need a mum you can always purchase one to be donated and our scouts will hand deliver it to a recipient. These mums are only $18 a piece, are absolutely HUGE, and are backed by a full replacement guarantee from Countryside. They’re also the reason why we didn’t grow mums to sell this year. We still have things growing and will be back to our regular, farm related posts tomorrow.

Thank you Wonder Lake and the surrounding community for your continued support this year. We truly enjoyed being a vendor at The Wonder Lake Market for its 2026 Summer Season and appreciate the new friendships we’ve made. We will be back for the 2027 Summer Season and in the meantime you can still buy our local produce grown using earth friendly practices at our on-farm farm stand off of Howe Road in Wonder Lake, IL. We also will be applying to be a vendor at the Wonder Lake Winter Market once those details are finalized. Thank you again for your support, we couldn’t do this without our loyal customers.

We are all setup at the Wonder Lake Farmer & Makers Market and will be at 4444 Thompson Road until 7pm. We are alongside a full vendor lineup and there’s Brookie’s Soda Hut and Barrio Smash Burger.

Today’s market has been canceled but you can still get our produce today and tomorrow!

Our farmstand will be open by 2pm today and tomorrow from 10am-7pm with plums, grapes, lettuce mix, peppers (sweet as well as hot), beans, tomatoes, and more…

Today’s Market is canceled due to the high heat advisory.

Please try to stay cool today and remember to drink plenty of fluids. The National Weather Service suggests limiting outside activities.

Our farm stand is open and stocked with sweet and tart grapes (please note: they have seeds), plums, corn, peppers both sweet and hot, garlic, tomatoes, and quail eggs. It will be open until sunset and we accept multiple forms of payment in addition to cash.

Looking for local grown produce? Come see us at the Wonder Lake Farmer & Makers Market happening until 7:30 at 4444 Thompson Road in Wonder Lake. Theres additional agricultural producers at the market plus bakers and makers too. And Naan Walla’s Taste of India is serving delicious food, I’m currently enjoying their loaded masala tots. And Kiki’s Cotton candy is here too!

🚨 Grape Emergency Alert! 🚨

We regret to inform you that this Wednesday’s Grape Selection at the Wonder Lake Farmer and Makers Market might be a bit... less grape-y than we originally planned. 🍇😅

I had been diligently watching our grapes, waiting for them to turn that perfect shade of purple. I thought, “Monday or Tuesday, they’ll be ready!” But, surprise! 🦃 Our local rafter of wild turkeys (TIL: a flock of turkeys is actually called a rafter) also had their eyes on our grapes, and they didn’t wait for an invitation! 😳

This afternoon, my husband came running in, whisper shouting my name. Turns out, our feathered friends had turned our grape arbor into their personal buffet! 📸 I managed to snap a pic of the guilty parties at the grapes and then casually strolling away, bellies full of our prized Concords. 🦃🍇

So, while we won’t have nearly as many grapes as we’d hoped, we will have some very content turkeys wandering around. 😂 Who knew turkeys had such refined palates? See you at the market on Wednesday, and remember: turkeys prefer Concord grapes! 🦃🍇

P.S. I’ll be here, coming to terms with our loss and questinioning why I hadn’t added Turkey catastrophe to my 2026 Adventures in Farming Bingo Card.

Our farmstand is open and stocked with lettuce mix, tomatoes, sweet peppers, hot peppers, onions and of course, garlic. Next up fruit wise is grapes! We’re hoping to have some ready to go for Wednesdays market.

The produce is in coolers, the van is packed, and we’re patiently waiting in the pick up line for our youngest at the wit school so that we can head to the market. August is a great month for farmers markets but a little busy for parents… want to make your evening better? Come see us at The Wonder Lake Market happening from 4-8pm tonight at 4444 Thompson Road in Wonder Lake. We’ve got produce, La Pequeña Mariposa🦋🍦🌮 is bringing you dinner fast from their food truck and the other vendors have so many fantastic things to offer. There are dog specific vendors this week as well as agricultural producers, bakers, makers, and more! ☀️

This year, we’re taking a different path and are choosing not to grow mums ourselves. Instead, we are thrilled to support the Cub Scout in our household by helping him and his pack raise funds for their exciting activities, outings, and learning opportunities throughout the year!

We proudly support Wonder Lake Cub Scout Pack #456 in their fundraising efforts by offering beautiful mums for sale in a 9” pot. These stunning mums come in a variety of vibrant colors: orange, purple, red, white, and yellow. Perfect for brightening up your fall garden!
