Dash, is all about rearranging the breeding pen this season. He neatly stacked the 40 gallon water tub that is now his toy on top of the 100 gallon tank. Then he manages to put it in his antlers. The boys got skill, maybe that's why the ladies like him?

During breeding season we do not enter the breeding pen. All videoing is from the out side.

Her side wrinkles though 😍 Everdeen is looking good! We have made the decision to hold Everdeen and her sister Elenor back this year and not breed. They are both pretty small framed so we would like one more year of growth since their breeder bull is to be Winston and he is a BIG boy.

Winston gets thirsty keeping River inline. As a kid, who drank from the hose when they were little? Nostalgic. Winston is the only reindeer of the herd to drink straight from the hose... Savage or smart if you know you know.

Winston really is the unicorn. He doesn't like bullies and is the herd peace keeper 💙 is the best Reindeer dad doing detail. We detail twice a day and let me tell you, 9 reindeer create a lot to pick up!

Welp, it's here! We have been experiencing signs that rut is near for Dash for about 2 weeks. Yesterday we were a high of 70 cloudy & breezy he picked the perfect day to rub out.

Please remember rut is a normal process that every male reindeer bull experiences. It does not hurt, by the time they shed their velvet, their soft cartilage has calcified into hard bone and they are ready to impress the ladies!

Miles goes in for the sneak attack to get his milky. As the calves get larger their milk sessions are fewer and they seem a little more savage.

Elenor is the best friend. She follows you around of course if you have snacks it's a bonus. She gives bottle baby vibes but is momma raised and we couldn't love her more!
