6/13: The stand is open with flowers, lettuce, radishes, green onions, kale, bread, scones, eggs, and candles! I prepped a good number of bouquets today so fingers crossed we will have enough for all day. The scones today are monsters, so enjoy that!

6/6: The stand is open with new addition: green onions! We have your whole salad here with lettuce mix, radishes, green onions, and kale. There's also flowers and scones, and bread today at 11am.

In other news, the cherry tomatoes in the high tunnel are looking great and the baby tomatoes are sizing up nicely. The first zinnias started blooming this week. If you see a lot of equipment and dirt in the front field, we are working on irrigation. Lots happening here!

If I ever needed motivation to keep the weeds down, this is it. For the past two days a baby deer and the mom have decided that our tall grass areas are perfect beds. That also means that the mom deer is eating my plants, including roses, lettuce, and peas. 😡 I've been trying to get them to move along but apparently our grass is very comfy and they come back. This evening I found the mom IN MY HIGH TUNNEL!! Not cool!

Memorial weekend: the sun is not shining but the flowers are! This week, the flowers have finally kicked into gear and we have PLENTY of bouquets. There are also scones, lettuce mix, kale, eggs, radishes, and candles. No French bread this weekend.

5/16: The stand is open with scones, bread, lettuce mix, spinach, cilantro, eggs, radishes, candles, and even a handful of bouquets. This is the perfect time to plant out peppers, so grab a few hot and sweet pepper plants, too. If you struggle with growing normal bell peppers, I suggest trying Carmen, which is bull's horn style sweet pepper.

The sunflowers in the high tunnel are juuuuust starting to open up, so hopefully they will be in full force next weekend.

My mom made the farm quilt now hanging in the barn 🙂

5/9: Happy Mother's Day weekend! To answer the biggest question this weekend, we unfortunately do not have any bouquets. I know, it is the worst possible timing, but I can't make the flowers open any faster so that's where we are.

What we DO have are scones, bread, candles, seedlings, and veggies!

As you can see, the sunflowers and lilies that I planted specifically for Mother's Day are looking awfully green. Right now I don't have much confidence that either of them will be blooming in time for this weekend. Meanwhile, the early spring flowers like tulips are done. Pretty upset to not have flowers on the biggest flower weekend of the year, but that's how this crazy spring is playing out. Sigh.

5/2: This is the last weekend for tulips this spring, so grab your bouquets now! We also have dahlia tuber packs, arugula, spinach, salad mix, kale, radishes, eggs, and bread. Peppers have joined the seedling party to get your garden started. Sorry, no scones this weekend.

4/25: The stand is open with seedlings and new veggies! Grab some tomato, herb, and cucumber plants to get your garden going. Pepper seedlings will be ready in another week. For veggies, we have arugula, spinach, radishes, lettuce mix, cilantro and kale for a pretty epic salad. There are also mixed tulip bouquets and ranunculus. Don't miss out on the ranunculus- they are absolutely stunning as they open up and last a long time in the vase.

We reuse containers as much as possible, so you are always welcome to return empty egg cartons and seedling pots once you are done with them. There is a crate on the checkout table where you can drop those off. We appreciate you helping us keep waste and costs down!

When pulling out dahlia tubers from storage feels like an Indiana Jones adventure. 🐍

We keep our tubers in the cellar for the winter. It is a hand dug cellar under our 170 Year old house... And it is not my favorite place. 😬
