💧 Your well worked hard this summer. Is everything still working like it should?

Between lawn watering, summer guests, irrigation, pools and everyday household use, summer can put extra demand on a private well and water treatment system.

As we head toward fall, watch for:

⚠️ Lower or fluctuating water pressure
⚠️ Sediment or cloudy water
⚠️ New staining or discoloration
⚠️ Changes in taste or odor
⚠️ A well pump that seems to run more frequently

Small changes can sometimes be the first sign of a well, pump, pressure tank or water treatment issue.

National Water Service has been helping Maryland, Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia homeowners with their water since 1979.

💧 Another Complete Water Treatment Install!

This project is a great example of what we mean when we say complete water treatment. Our team designed and installed a system to address multiple water-quality concerns throughout the home.

This installation included:

✅ Whole-house sediment filtration
✅ Spruce AiRaider for radon-in-water remediation
✅ Pedrollo pressure booster pump
✅ Ultraviolet light for bacteria protection
✅ Water softener for hard water
✅ ProGlass treatment for heavy iron & turbidity
✅ Grundfos solution/chemical feeder for acidic water & pH control
✅ Extensive replumbing of the mechanical room
✅ And more!

Every home & every water supply is different. That's why we don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. We test the water, identify the problems, discuss with you your water wants & needs & design the treatment system around what the home actually needs.

💧⭐ TESTIMONIAL TUESDAY ⭐💧

When you’re having a problem with your well, sometimes the biggest relief is simply knowing you called the right people.

Bob in Gaithersburg, MD recently called National Water Service with a well issue. From the first phone call, our team helped put his mind at ease. Our technicians arrived ahead of schedule, diagnosed the problem, and explained his options for correcting a chafed wire issue in the outside well pump pipe.

His words say it best:

“Very good kind, honest and courteous service from start to finish.”

And we especially appreciated this part:

“All is ‘well’ (so to speak)!” 😄💧

Thank you, Bob, for trusting National Water Service and for recommending us to your friends!

💧 We’ll Go to Any Length, or Depth, for Better Water for our Customers!!

Every home is different, and sometimes the right water treatment solution isn’t going in a basement, utility room, or garage.

For this customer, it meant climbing down into a pit in the front yard to install a solution/chemical feeder designed to help correct low pH & acidic well water.

Acidic water can be tough on a home’s plumbing system, contributing to corrosion of pipes, fixtures, and water-using appliances over time. The right treatment system can help neutralize that acidity and protect the home’s plumbing.

At National Water Service, we don’t believe in one-size-fits-all water treatment. We design and install systems around your water, your home, and your needs, even when the installation location is a little unconventional.

Have questions about your well water or pH? We can help.

💧 Bottled Water vs. Reverse Osmosis: Are there Microplastics in your water?

The National Institutes of Health reveals that a single liter of bottled water contains an average of 240,000 microscopic plastic particles. About 90% of these fragments are nanoplastics that can potentially cross cell membranes and enter the human bloodstream leading to inflammation, oxidative stress, cellular damage and other potential health effects.

That's one more reason to rethink the endless cases of bottled water.

A Reverse Osmosis System removes up too 99% of all contaminates from your water, giving your family highly filtered drinking water right from the tap.

💧 Better filtration
♻️ Less plastic waste
💰 Less money spent on bottled water
🏠 Fresh drinking water whenever you need it

Reduce the plastic. Reduce unnecessary health risks. Choose better water at home.

💧 Your water looks clear. But is it?

Clear, odorless water doesn’t necessarily mean there aren’t things in it you should know about.

Private well water as well as city/municipal water can be affected by naturally occurring minerals, groundwater conditions, old pipes, surrounding land use, septic systems and other environmental factors.

Depending on your location and water source, testing may identify concerns such as:

🦠 Coliform bacteria & E. coli
🧪 Nitrates
⚠️ Forever Chemicals
☢️ Radium & radon
🔧 Lead & copper
🟤 Iron & manganese
💧 Acidic water (low pH)
🧬 PFAS and other contaminants

Some of these can’t be seen, tasted or smelled. Testing is the only way to know what’s actually in your water.

At National Water Service, we can help you understand your water and determine the right solution if a problem is found.

Do you know what’s in your family’s water?

🔥 Most water heaters don't fail without warning...homeowners just miss the signs.

If your water heater is over 10 years old, now is the time to start paying attention.

Watch for:
✅ Less hot water
✅ Water around the tank
✅ Strange noises
✅ Rust-colored hot water
✅ Rising energy bills

A small repair today can prevent a major flood tomorrow.

🚿 Low water pressure? Don't ignore it.

One of the most common calls we receive starts with:

"Our water pressure suddenly dropped."

While it might be something as simple as a clogged sediment filter, it can also be the first sign of a failing well pump, pressure tank, plumbing leak, or another issue that could become much more expensive if left alone.

Before replacing parts, it's important to find the actual cause.

At National Water Service, we diagnose the problem first, saving homeowners time, money, and unnecessary repairs.
