Over the past week, I’ve had some time to think about what’s next for Urban Eats.
After talking with mechanics and looking at the numbers, I made a decision.
We’re not done. We’re just pressing pause.
As much as I’d love to repair our current truck, it doesn’t make financial sense to keep investing in a 20 year old vehicle, especially with winter around the corner. Instead, I’m putting my focus into building the next version of Urban Eats.
The goal is to reopen in Spring 2027 with a new truck focused on private catering, corporate events, mobile bartending, and community pop ups. I’ll also be working on bottling the sauces so many of you have been asking for.
Urban Eats has been 100% self funded from day one. Every repair, every piece of equipment, and every milestone came from believing in this dream. To help bring this next chapter to life, I’ve started a GoFundMe. There is absolutely no expectation to donate, but if you’d like to support or simply share it, I’d be incredibly grateful.
In the meantime, I’m not going anywhere. I’ll continue taking on private chef and catering events, working on our sauces, and sharing the journey as we build something even better.
Lastly, thank you to everyone who reached out just to check on us. The calls, texts, messages, and offers to help meant more than you know.
See you in Spring 2027. ❤️
