Here’s a comic I made with AI about last week’s drama. It includes some of our catchphrases, and making it became its own battle because AI kept swapping our faces, body type, and everything else. Honestly it was just making s**t up. After enough tries, I went with the best version 😂 also would love for us to have a line that wraps the truck when we open lol. One day….
Last week was a reminder that running a food truck is never boring.
Tuesday, our fryer went down. Sales were slow, and we didn’t even know what was wrong. We called our plumber, but equipment repairs weren’t something he could help with.
By Wednesday, we bought a new fryer and had it installed before service. It cost over $1,000, and we lost money both days.
The bright spot was Thursday. We had a private event we couldn’t miss. The new fryer was installed in time, the team crushed it, and the guests were happy.
Friday and Saturday helped us recover, but overall the week was still a loss. Weeks like this show how important every day is for a small business. Food trucks run on thin margins, and unexpected expenses can be tough.
We’re not perfect. We learn, adapt, and keep showing up.
What keeps us going is all of you, the support, reviews, repeat customers, and everyone who spreads the word about Urban Eats.
The amazing feedback we get reminds us why we started.
We’ll keep showing up, serving great food, and building something special.
Thanks for being part of the journey. ❤️
