We have an opportunity to help an awesome young livestock exhibitor sell a steer that just barely missed qualifying for the Junior Livestock Auction.
Her steer weighed in at 1,220 lbs — only about 20 lbs shy of the required weight. Unfortunately, that meant she wasn’t eligible to sell through the auction.

She was still able to show her steer in a competition where the judge evaluated the animals based on their expected carcass quality, finish, and overall market readiness.
And this steer WON GRAND CHAMPION in its class! 🏆
So while he may have missed the weight requirement, he definitely didn’t miss the mark on quality.
