We are proud to announce that our entire processing tomato field and harvesting operation is USDA GAP+ certified. The GAP+ program is a Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) recognized standard, meaning that we not only meet the USDA’s food safety regulations, but we EXCEED them.

Bullseye Farms strives for continuous improvement in the field to provide food that exceeds our buyer’s expectations. None of it would be possible without our diligent and hard working field team for being able to adapt to change and bring our operation to the best it can be! #foodsafety #GFSI #tomatoes #Bullseyefarms

Almond Lane

We are very excited to announce that our orchards have been certified Sustainably Grown by SCS Global Services. We are the first almond producers IN THE WORLD to achieve this certification. It certainly was not easy but the certification has validated our environmentally and socially responsible practices we implement here on the farm every day. We are so thankful to have a team that prioritizes the same values and works so hard to be an industry leader in sustainable and regenerative agriculture!

Our awesome almonds are available at select Northern California grocers, hotels, restaurants, Amazon, and on our website. Be on the lookout for the Kingfisher Logo on our bags soon!

Some views of one of our cover crops in a new pistachio orchard. This is a demonstration plot we are doing in cooperation with Community Alliance with Family Farmers (CAFF)and Project Apis m. This multi species mix should increase biodiversity, soil health, water infiltration, along with other benefits. This is a 3 year demonstration in which many attributes will be measured and compared to a "bare floor" plot in the same field. The goal here is to be able to demonstrate to other growers the many benefits of cover cropping. This year we were able to cover crop over 1000 acres of walnuts, 750 acres of pistachios and a small portion of our almonds. Our goal was to plant 100% of our orchard acres, but the prolonged wet weather over the winter made it impossible to get all of the almonds planted.

Bullseye Hulling Drone Footage

Ever wonder what it's like to be a walnut going through the huller? Take the ride!

With just about a week left for Bullseye Hulling's second season, we have hulled about 5 million wet pounds of walnuts.

We carry the same elite standards at our huller as we do in the fields. With two levels of optical sorters, sorting tables, precise load tracking systems, and strict equipment sanitizing schedules, the Bullseye Hulling operation is on track to become a food safety leader in the industry.

With a drying capacity of over half a million dry pounds and room to add more, Bullseye Hulling is ready to become Yolo county's finest.

Almond Conditioner in Action

We are already missing almond harvest here at Bullseye Farms... This season we used our conditioner in about 4000 acres and saw efficiency increases in the field and at the processor!

This season, the nut's average time on the ground was 9 days compared to 12.5 days last season. That may not seem like much, but every day the nuts stay on the ground, the risk of pest and food borne pathogen contamination increases.

Additionally, our average foreign material percentage has gone down about 50% from last season. That makes life much smoother for the harvest crew and the processor!
