Yesterday we hosted a Girl Scout group out of Nashville. 16 girls came to the farm to learn all about goats! They learned about different types of feed, breeds, and general health of goats! Of course the goats got lots of pets in the process.

2024 was a busy year for us, with the biggest change being that we moved the entire farm!

As we prepare for the inevitable snow/ice storm we thought we would share some tips we've learned to help keep your animals safe and warm!

🐐Deep and dry bedding helps hold heat for your animals!
🐐Keep lamps high and out of reach from your animals!
🐐Add a cinder block or bricks to the bottom of your water trough. If you have babies like us, you need to make sure they have a quick and easy escape from the water if they happen to jump in.
🐐Adding Vaseline to the tips of your goats ears will protect them from the water and getting frostbite when they drink from the trough!
🐐MAKE PREPARATIONS NOW! Have extra bedding, bulbs, lamps, etc.

It's that time of year again! Let us know if you have any unwanted pumpkins 🎃 They cannot be painted or molded! Pumpkins are a high calorie treat that's good for our goats stomachs! Any pumpkin donations are appreciated.
