Hi Shabtai Gourmet Fans,
I am Sid, the baker behind the Shabtai Gourmet Gluten Free Bakery. Its been some time since we posted here last.
As you may have heard, our bakery in Far Rockaway, NY was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy on October 29, 2012.
Recently I began baking my famous Gluten Free/Dairy Free Rainbow Cookies and Devils Food Swiss Stix from home, in a dedicated Gluten Free kitchen for friends and family, and would like to offer these items to you for the holiday season.
I apply the same strict food safety and sanitary practices at home, as I have done for over the last 40 years in the baking industry. The quality of my small batch recipes are the same, if not better, as the the original Shabtai products. The only difference between my original recipes and these new recipes are the presence of corn and soybean ingredients. Ingredient details are indicated on each package label - please read carefully prior to enjoying. Nutritional values are very similar to to the items which still appear on our website. However, the items are not labeled for resale or retail sale.
RAINBOW COOKIES: a hefty 1LB tray of the Italian multi layer cookie made with premium quality Almond Paste. The cookies are filled with real Raspberry Preserve. Each 1 Lb tray contains approximately 28-32 thinly sliced cookies. $15.00 per UNIT.
Rainbow Cookie Ingredients; sugar, eggs, palm oil shortening (also contains mono-and diglycerides & polysorbate 60), almond paste (contains almonds, sugar, potassium sorbate) cocoa processed with alkali, potato starch, vegetable oils (soy, palm, canola, coconut, and/or cottonseed), red raspberries, corn syrup, chocolate liquor, pectin, artificial color (FD&C Yellow #6, red #3, blue #1), high fructose corn syrup, potassium citrate, natural and artificial flavor, lecithin, salt, CONTAINS: TREE NUTS (ALMOND) & EGGS
DEVILS FOOD SWISS STIX: 8 chocolate coated mini devils food snack cakes with with two layers of fluffy vanilla creme filling. Net weight is 13 ounces. This single serve item is very similar to our very popular Shabtai Gourmet Ring Tings and Chocolate Cake Seven layer or Swiss Chocolate Roll. $10.00 per UNIT
