We’re so excited to be participating in x Summer Eco-Market at the Mill in Baltimore on 6/14 from 11 AM–3 PM at Whitehall Mill! 🌍🎨🦪

They’re bringing together 50 local artists and small businesses, plus environmental groups and community organizations like Tree Baltimore, Parks & People, Baltimore Tree Trust, Carrie Murray Nature Center, and No Name Plant Collective.

Think Baltimore artists and makers, True Chesapeake oysters, Glizzy’s wagyu dogs, Maryland wine, local coffee and tea, interactive music for the kiddos, environmental groups, fresh produce, CSA signups, oyster shell crafts, and some of Baltimore’s most talented artists and small businesses, all in one place.

For the last 10 years, Greater Goods Market has celebrated Baltimore’s handmade craft community. Their new Eco-Market takes that idea one step further by connecting people with local farms, volunteer opportunities, environmental initiatives, and the people working to make our city greener, healthier, and more connected. We couldn’t be more excited to participate!

We ❤️ Baltimore!

Did you know that Moon Valley Farm began in Baltimore County? 🤩

I started farming in 2012 on 1/2 acre of borrowed land in the suburbs. Over the next 8 years, I bartered for the use of land with 5 additional landowners -- including 3 yards in a row -- across the suburbs of Baltimore to grow the business, adding more members and restaurants as we cultivated more land each year. 💗🍀

Baltimore has the coolest people, the coolest independent restaurants and businesses -- and even the coolest landowners for letting a young farmer take a stab at making her dreams come true! 👩‍🌾✨

We’re forever grateful for our early years growing in those backyards, the original CSA members and restaurants that supported the farm (and still do!), and the customers we now deliver to today in and around the beautiful city of Baltimore! 🫶

Good morning from our chard field! 🌈🌈🌈

Green season is in full swing right now, and today we’re highlighting chard!
Rainbow Swiss chard is used as a salad green and a leaf vegetable, making it a versatile ingredient in the kitchen. It can be used both raw and cooked; cooking will give the leaves a milder flavor.

Chard is delicious sauteed, in frittatas or pasta, or used as wrap leaves!

Hey hey friends! It’s our first week of PEAK SEASON!! Welcome & welcome back, you amazing people!! 🤩💞🥦

We’re hard at work out here growing your veggies — check out this kohlrabi harvest! (Everyone’s favorite, I know! 🤪🤭)

But for real, members, you can swap out veggies in your box for those you and your family *love* so you don’t have to choke down those you, well, don’t. 🤷‍♀️

Honestly, I’m a big kohlrabi fan, and that’s not just cuz I like growing it. It’s a so versatile in the kitchen and our family loves it! 🙋‍♀️✨

It’s amazing roasted (I love cutting it like French fries & even among potatoes — you can hardly tell!), cut up raw and served with hummus, shredded in slaws, or stir fried! Check out our recipes page for many of our favorite ways to cook this crop! 🍲

We have been working hard on scaling our production and post-harvest systems for baby greens — including salad mixes, baby kales, baby arugula & spicy mixes — and here’s a glimpse of what it looks like! 🥲🚜🥬

It’s taken us over a year to acquire the pieces for this system upgrade, and we’ll still be dialing it all in over years to come… but guess what people?! We’ve got TRIPLE WASHED BABY GREENS!!! 🎉👯‍♀️🪩💃

We are *super* excited about this new triple wash system, which has 3 massive separate tanks of water for each rinse, before we dry them with a large commercial salad spinner. 🤩😎🤓

Thanks to the support of for helping us scale to sell to schools and institutions, Montgomery County, Frederick County & Harford County Public Schools are getting triple washed organic and GAP-certified salad this week (and so many of our restaurants and CSA members, too!)!! 🥹🥗
