The 2021 Langley Hill Vineyard Chardonnay was our spotlight of the week. Langley Hill sits on a steep east-facing slope at around 1,900 feet, so it's cooler than most of the estate, with more fog influence and a longer hang time on the vine.⁠

What that means in the glass is bright acidity, stone fruit, a little lemon curd, with a texture that comes from 10 months on the lees in 20% new French oak, followed by a few months in steel.⁠
