One of our old Starline drinking cups still in our barn. Made at the old Starline factory in Harvard, IL! Over the decades thousands of quality dairy cows were once milked in this dairy barn. Dude wanted to get into the picture.

Hay is in the feeder. All you can eat buffett for the cattle and goats! We are working on getting the the dairy barn back to what it was pre-1993. It would be cool to replace the old Starline drinking cups with originals. Stanchions are all in working order. Need barn cleaner chain, updated electric and plumbing. It will be a long process if it actually gets done. Gennifer’s favorite cat (Dude) is still going strong at 18 years old!

Here’s a sneak peek at our newest little angus mix. He has a brother that is not shown. Gennifer would have loved these little teddy bears. But they will not stay little for long! Still trying to figure out how much I want to do in the coming years on the farm. More pigs, chickens, veggies, sweet corn??? I did buy all the equipment I need to make hay again (I had sold it all a couple of years ago). But we have a good start with the steers and pet goats. Tell me what you all that follow our farm are looking for!

Where’s the beef? It has been almost 6 months since my business partner and love of my life went to be with her Lord and Savior. But I am “back in the saddle again” and getting things moving again. This time we are doing totally grass fed. We will be having a variety of different breeds. I just love my steers. By the way, the goats are just pets. My wife always wanted goats, so I got them before she passed away. The bad news is: you have to communicate with me now, not my beautiful and loving wife. But I will try my best to be accessible to our customers. Thank you all!

I wanted to let all our Brookdale Road Farm friends know that Gennifer’s long battle with cancer is over and the Lord decided to take her home this morning at 6:05 am. She loved her God, family, friends, farm and especially her chickens so much! Our hearts are broken. The farm will never be the same without her. God bless you all as you grieve with us.

Lots of fresh, free-range chicken eggs available! Mediums are $4 and large and extra-large are $5. Please let me know if I can supply you with some eggs! I am in rural Woodstock, between Harvard and Marengo. I can also meet up in the towns of Woodstock or Harvard. Thanks!😊
