Green Heron Farm is located 3 miles from the Village of Woodstock in the heart of the scenic Hudson Valley. 2010 marked the 31st anniversary of Green Heron Farm, providing boarding and riding instruction to the equine community of the Mid Hudson Valley. We provide quality instruction suited to every level of rider, beginners through advanced, including dressage, jumping and pleasure riding. We hav

e qualified instructors to meet your needs as well as a variety of lesson horses and ponies. Our farm is situated on more than 60 acres and offers a 100' x 200' covered arena, a 20m x 40m sand dressage ring and trails available to boarders and students involved in an ongoing lesson program. During the summer we offer week long horsemanship programs for youth and we offer several educational events throughout the year.

The New York Farm Bureau Foundation is the education branch. They are holding their annual dinner Friday March 22 at Brown's Brewing. Please consider attending . This summer we have been doing a pen pal project with the Cheston Equestrian Centre in Wrangaton, Devon UK. We have been writing about what we do in camp, the horses here, pictures of us and the animals on the farm. We have also been learning about different breeds of horses, where they originated from and what they are used for. We have sent information on the Tennessee Walking Horse, Quarter horse, Morgan and Appaloosa breeds. The last Sunday in July we had a fun show .

Our assistant instructor Mecca Conway has decided to pursue and advanced degree and will be leaving Green Heron Farm at the end of April 2018. We thank her for being an important part of the Green Heron family and we wish her great success in her new ventures.
