I want to share some of the great hobbies friends of mine have either started or have been working at for the last few years to help get their name out there like people did for me over ten years ago when I started my little hobby farm. For anyone in the Colchester area, my friend Iza has been working hard in her gardens, growing flowers, veggies, raising chickens for eggs and even making compound butter, which I cannot wait to try! (I’m a sucker for flavored butter on bread). Her husband built her a beautiful farm stand that is displayed daily at their address and filled with beautiful fresh hand cut flowers from her garden, eggs from her free range chickens, compound butter, pickles, and dinner baskets that are ready for to serve your family dinner for the night (message ahead of time to see what’s available)!

So much for closing down the farm and being out of the chicken game! Came across a flock that was in need of rehoming and decided to take them in. (All hens) 1 black English Orpington, 1 Naked Neck (😬), 2 lavender Ameraucanas, 1 Olive Egger, 1 silkied Serama and this beauty, a porcelain d’Uccle. The egg basket is full daily and beyond colorful.
