We are a small farm focused on giving our chickens the best of the best so they can produce great eggs for our customers. Licensed by the state, Certified Organically Fed chickens, they are pasture raised with organic feed. Our chickens receive living food every day of the year (winter or not) with our fodder system. Supplemented with daily probiotics from our homemade kefir and homemade Kombucha,
the chickens also get soil based probiotics as well from the roots of the plants in the fodder system. The fodder system itself, takes the seeds/grains/legumes (all non GMO) and sprouts them. Chickens digest the grains better when they are sprouted and utilized all the energy from the grains in this manner. It is a wonderful system! By fall of 2016 our giant worm room should be in full production so the chickens don't lose Amino Acids in winter when the ground is frozen. We expect to get around 5,000-7,000 worms per week! we are currently working on becoming a level #1 processing plant so we can package our own organically fed ground chicken, roasters, sell our own homemade organic chicken stock, Kombucha, kefir, dehydrated organic dog treats made from the bones of our own chickens (there will NEVER be any recall on these, let me tell you!) sterilized encapsulated pulverized eggshells (great for your health), beets and kale. People who purchase from us are usually into whole health and understand the benefits of the holistic approach we have taken with our flocks. It is very important what you feed your chickens becuase what they produce for you is a bi-product of what they are given. Being licensed by the state allows the inspector to come into our home/barns and inspect what we are claiming we are doing at any given time. Without a state license, anybody can make any claims they want and there isn't anybody to make them adhere to state regulations (which are there to protect you, the consumer). We sell our eggs via Crystal Lake Family Wellness Clinic in Crystal Lake and at Natures Balance Acupuncture Clinic in Crystal Lake as well. If in the area you can call them for availability, we keep them stocked with eggs. You can always come here and get the eggs too, just don't open the gates (We have dogs, and the fences are electrified), call first (C) 815-236-3338 or 815-236-2241
