Crestwood Family Farms is located in Woodstock, IL, a farming community in the heart of the midwest. Our guiding principle is that food should be good. Good for you and good for the land. Also, it is grown and raised in a natural way. We apply this standard to our local suppliers and partner farms as well, who are also family farms. Our food is raised using sustainable farming methods. I

n fact, all our activities are based on this goal, so we carefully integrate natural habitat into the farming environment. We believe it is important to not deplete nor harm the land while farming it. This means that while profitable use of the land is important (after all, it's not very sustainable otherwise), we are concerned about long-term habitat and wildlife just as much as near-term yield and agricultural productivity. We are located here in Woodstock, IL, a farming community in the heart of the midwest. Here we hope to be an integral part of our surrounding community and do our part by proactively taking care of our animals and their environment.

All of our partners are also a part of our local community and held to the same standards that we set for ourselves.

We believe that food should not only taste great but be great for you. That’s why we take pride in our meat and make sure that it is 100% grass fed, all natural and has no artificial growth stimulants, antibiotics, or hormones.

Because our meat is grass fed, it is much leaner, so you just cook it for less time than your average meat and then you have a tasty and much healthier meal.

Here at Crestwood Family Farms® we take our farming seriously. We treat our animals well and make sure they are consuming an all pasture diet while also making sure that our property is taken care of and provides lasting benefits to our animals. We focus on long term solutions and use methods like rotational grazing that may not yield the highest profit in the short term, but do ensure that our meadows are growing fresh all natural grass year after year.

Our property is a diverse mix of rich fields, forest, sedge meadow, and natural ground cover that provides both an ideal environment for raising farm animals as well as great habitat for wildlife. This wide variety of ecosystems makes the land rich in nutrients. We also maintain much fresh ground water and natural springs that promote strong growth of vegetation and wildflowers. We hope to use the land as best as we can while also not disturbing the natural habitat and wildlife.
