Peppermint planted from cuttings six weeks ago, now ready to harvest. Looks like we’ll get one last distillation this season. 👏

After working in the lavender fields all day, my hands are scratched, dry and raw. A little Field & Flock hand salve leaves my skin feeling soft and soothed.

I know I shouldn’t play favorites but our hand salve is definitely one of mine. AND…it’s not just for hands! I use it on my feet, skin, and hair (a little dab tames flyaways ).😊

We’re frequently asked if we cover our lavender for the winter months. The answer is no. As a lavender farm in Southern New Jersey, we don’t cover our plants in the winter, however, there are two things we do to prepare our fields for winter.

1. In late August through early September we give our plants a good pruning. This gives them a compact shape, prevents plants from developing excessive woodiness, and allows them to harden off before the first frost.

2. We install snow fencing in two of our fields that don’t have natural wind barriers. This protects plants from drying winds that can cause windburn even during milder winters.
