The fountain in the barn has become a real conversation piece. Weāre frequently asked if itās a sink and where we purchased it.
We added the fountain a few years ago to create a soothing atmosphere. We wanted something that would provide a focal point to break up the long wall and add to the garden feel of the space. At that time, we had a pallet wall behind it, but the fountain really pops with the new wall as a backdrop.
So, is it a sink? No, it doesnāt have a drain.
Where did we buy it? George designed and built the fountain himself. He started by constructing a wood frame, poured the concrete, removed the frame, then built and painted the table. All of the construction took place over at the house, so it had to be carefully moved to the barn using the tractor. Then, he and a friend carried it into the barn, which was no easy feat, and placed it on the table. The challenge of transporting the fountain to the barn is a story in itself. George will be happy to tell you a much more detailed and animated version if you ask the next time you visit. š
