This is Jake, he was born to early. His hip joint was not fully formed. We had to move him to a pen with his mom. With the hip not formed he could not move around well and he ended up with pneumonia. We gave him meds and cold water baths for fever. What you see is his hair fell out due to the high fever. Today he is in the herd and you cannot tell him from any other calf. It took 2 weeks of our time and he is worth $1800. To $2000 so well worth the time.
