As we move into the future, the issue of water scarcity due to climate change and drought will cause us to reconsider how we are using water. Two key ways that we can mitigate our impact are conservation and water recycling. This video from the Water Research Foundation discusses exploring potable water reuse opportunities. Wastewater in the News: Upgrades to a wastewater treatment plant along Ontario's Grand River led to a 70 percent drop of in occurance of intersex fish within one year, and a full recovery of the fish population within three years, according to researchers. Updates to the system included reducing levels of endocrine disrupters in the water, which caused the intersex occurrences in fish to dramatically decline.
