On Day 2 of the Royal Oak Invitational, we had a great cook and finished in the top 10 for both chicken and ribs! 🔥🔥🔥 We had especially high hopes for our brisket, which was easily one of the best brisket entries we've turned in this year, but it did not score well. ⁉️

This contest was unique in that we could not bring our own meat; the contest organizers provided a bag of meat that we had to use. We did our best with what we received! 🐔🐷🐮

Big congrats to Razorracks BBQ on GC and Rooters-n-Tooters BBQ on RGC, and to everyone else who earned a call! 🔥🎉🔥

Thank you very much to Royal Oak Charcoal for inviting us to compete again at this fantastic event, and to The BBQ Ninja and everyone at Royal Oak for taking such good care of the teams all weekend! 🍺🧇🍕🔥

Yesterday was Day 1 of the Royal Oak Invitational! 🔥🔥🔥 We were thrilled to be invited back again this year! 🎉 We kept busy between competing in the Steak Cookoff Association competition (where we finished 12th out of 37 teams), preparing a side and dessert for the team potluck, and hanging out with the teams on the beautiful Royal Oak Charcoal campus. 🍂🌳🍂

All of our meat for today's KCBS competition (chicken, ribs, pork, brisket) was provided by the event and assigned at random, so we didn't know what we had until we opened our bag!
