Sorry about the lack of pictures! No one thought to take any. We are not very good about this social media thing quite yet.

So the run down. Out of 6 birds, we harvested 5 (one was found eviserated by a predator this morning). It took us about 2 hours for the 5 bird with doing everything by hand as well as being taught how to butcher the birds properly.

Not a personal favorite thing of mine to do tbh, but at least we now know how to do it!

Well our sweet little CC chicks we bought 8 weeks ago are now big enough to harvest. We will drops some pick of the finally packaged product after we are done.

Time to fill the freezers

So some updates: The newest of our chicks will be moving in with the rest of the flock at the end of the week
We should have a roadside set up by the end of the month
The garden is doing awesome

Along with all of that, we will have a Tiktok, Youtube, and more Reels posted up starting at the end of the month!

Our Rhode Island Reds are outgrowing their first home! They’ll be moved next week.

We have our first chick that has actually hatched on the homestead! This little guy will hang out in the incubator until its feathers have dried.
