With kidding season starting up for most folks and people beginning to look for projects, I want to put it out there that Voss Boers has taken the season off for goat kidding. We will not have any kids born this 2025 winter and 2026 spring.

Open and ready to breed. High class wether genetics. Only reason she’s for sale is we are taking a year off of show goats and it doesn’t make sense to keep her. Full brother was kept a buck. Dam has thrown three overall breeding does, champion buck, and two overall market wethers. Four of her five sisters have been retained.

One of the does we kept for a replacement this year 👀. Talk about some hair and the build to go along with it! She’s out of our own buck we raised and her dam comes from a line we’ve had for five generations. It’s 100% not an understatement to say we are proud of how far our genetics have come.

First year we’ve had a wether go to the competitive Fremont County Fair! Kayson and Mackenzie didn’t mess around and got him to place third in market! Congrats! kayson.s.mayes307

Park County Fair, not for the faint of heart with some of the better competition in the state! However, the Fisk kids went out there and were competitive!
Placing in the upper third of their showmanship classes, and with the wethers placing in top 4, I’d say Voss Boers was represented! Thanks to the Fisk family!

With all but one goat in the market goat final drive stemming from Voss Boers stock, it’s not hard to tell that Washakie County is the home of Voss Boers!

And out of the buck we raised (pics below):
Champion Overall Market Goat, Reserve Champion Market Doe, Champion Carcass Goat, and Reserve Champion Carcass Goat. All but one goat in the market final drive originated from our herd.

Overall Best Pair of Does at the Central Wyoming Fair goes to a couple of Voss Boers does! Placing at the top end of the classes and then pulling off the win together! They hit a couple jackpots along the way too, earning their share of rewards! Congrats to Jackson and Paisley and thank you for getting these girls shown!

It’s fair season in Wyoming and the results are coming in! The Central Wyoming Fair market show put us off to a great start.
Grand Champion FFA Showmanship, First in market class, and representing us in the Final Drive was Madi! Congrats Madi!!
