Moon Pearl Mushrooms! 🌙🍄

These are our weirdest mushroom yet. It is an oyster mushroom that doesn't develop a cap or gill. Just forming these meaty blobs.

It reminds me of a coral reef! 🪸

Since you all liked the Bear's Head Mushrooms so much, here's how we grow them. This strain in particular starts out growing pink and slowly loses that as it matures.

Compare the top shelf of the Bear's Head to their Lion's Mane cousins on the shelf below.

It's not often that we grow a mushroom as big as my head. But here we are!

This beauty is "Bear's Head" or Hericium americanum. It shares a genus with Lion's Mane and has a similar flavor profile with a WILDLY different texture. It forms delicate tendrils and often grows with a light pink hue that is more noticeable in person.

You can get yours today! We just had a big harvest of them! $20/lb. One pound should be enough to make a nice meal for 2-4 people.

Sick of snow? Yeah me too.

But I'm NOT sick of these snow oyster mushrooms. Tender, pure white in color, with a light almost fruity mushroom aroma.

Today's mushroom pic is the "black pearl king oyster" these delicious meaty mushrooms are a mad scientist hybrid!

They come from a cross between the king trumpet and tree oyster and share characteristics of both.
