Hidden in our coolers is this fun treat. Beef Bologna with just crackers or with cheese and crackers make a great treat. Game day, picnic, or a holiday shakuterie board. Easy peasy, and made from our pastured beef.

Side note does anyone else beside me sing when spelling BOLOGNA. Lol

well here is a real life DR Seuss picture. So I just had to share. These aren't my eggs but I wouldn't be surprised if one popped up.

Is this ok.....YES Remember the yolks are a result of what chickens and ducks eat. We have so many people asking do our chickens eat bugs, plants etc. They are scavengers and eat many things. However the egg shells do not tell you the color of the yolk.

Good morning,

A little late but we will not be at Palisades Farmers Market or Bloomingdale Farmer's Market today (October 11th 2026)

We are all well here on the farm. But with recent events of my husband's heartattack, my ankle/ chicken spell and Henry recently getting knocked in the knee by a young heifer, I decided to remain home while this storm blows through. September was a bumpy road but thanks to our neighboring farmers and great customers like you all we made it through.

Today we reset, deal with the storm and make our many four legged family are cared for.

We will be back next week. Before to order online so we are sure to have what you need with us next week.

Happy Saturday.

Friday night seems to not be a good night. We will miss our markets today at Easton Maryland Farmers Market and St St. Michaels Farmers Market as I spent the evening in the ER. But I'm back at it tomorrow in DC.

I lost a fight with a 4 inch stick, a concrete step and a chicken. With my MS I'm double checking for no breaks cause there were to many cracks coming from my ankle. But I'm rocking the red polish.

Stay dry and we will see you next weekend.

With all the stress we have been dealing with its nice to have some babies. Two heifers one yesterday and one today.

Good afternoon everyone.

We just wanted to update on few things. First Farmer John, my husband is doing well. He is pushing himself because that is who he is, but also he has been very good at knowing his limits. I finally fall asleep and he is up and gone to the barn.

Now for another update.

Due to recent circumstances, we are fully pulling away from the Kent Island Farmers Market. This decision has been greatly discussed and made with great deal of thought and care. However, it is a necessary change that needs to be made.

We do home delivery throughout Queen Anne's County on Wednesdays, in which we can deliver to you. Visit dogwoodlanedairy.grazecart.com to create your account and place your order. Delivery order opens Friday am and closes at 11:59 PM Monday. Credit cards are required for home delivery and will be charged on Tuesday. As we are trying to keep a tight leash on our heart patient we are still aming for our Saturday markets.
We will be at the St. Michaels Farmers Market and the Easton Maryland Farmers Market this Saturday. We have a few friends helping us out while we navigate our emergency. Hopefully some of you met Dylan on Thursday.

If you are in Easton Saturday, Amy will be helping us there. Pauls job at home is helping Henry milk and helping to keep an eye on John Myers.

John is doing well, and he starts rehab next week.

Today has been a difficult day and a good day. John is doing great, but is still down. His biggest fear was getting silage done. We talked Saturday before his surgery and knew we couldn't put it in the silo. Climbing up and down the silo, moving doors, raising and lowering the unloader and leaveling the feed off in the silo, was to much. A window opened and our neighbors made it happen. We are blessed for amazing neighbors.

At this point in time we are planning on getting to the Kent Island Farmers' Market and Riverdale Park Farmers Market this thursday. Who knows farmer John may make an appearance, cause after all someone has to keep an eye on him.

Thank you to all who were patient with me. I sincerely apologize for missing the few markets. We still have somethings to figure out but God is good. Our Markets will resume later this week i hope.

My farmer husband John Myers had a heartattack Friday night.

Friday night about 11pm we went to the ER. He was transferred to Easton. This morning he went into surgery.
3 stints placed
1 artery clean
1 artery 90% blocked
1 artery shut down

The one that was 90% blocked has been that way for years. The Dr. said his survival is because he had a strong heart. He shouldn't have made it as far as he did. His heart never gave up.

We hope to be home Tuesday

Thank you to all who have picked up on what was happening. We are trying to get silage done and have fall work ahead of us. Not to mention the farm markets. But we are greatfull for him still being with us. We have a lot to figure out but we will get there.
