Our pasteurizer called LILI, which stands for (low input, low impact) - a continuous heating process with low impact on the nutritional value and flavor of the milk. It gently pumps milk through its system preserving the milk's creamy, rich taste and consistency.
It is also known as an HTST (High Temp Short Time) Milk is heated to 165- degrees Fahrenheit for 15 sec. We run 2-gal milk per minute.
After pasteurization is complete, milk exits the system through the food grade hose and milk has already cooled to 50 - degrees Fahrenheit, where it goes to "finish" tank and is cooled to 40 - degrees Fahrenheit and maintained at that temp before bottling.
LILI then has its own CIP (Clean in Place) system, where it automatically does a detergent & acid wash and sanitize cycle which usually takes about an hour to complete.
Our tanks are Milk Plans all the way from Greece, a small, specialized tank with compressors built in underneath or to the side of the tank for fast and efficient cooling.
