Cosmos are such elegant beauties in the garden. They add a touch of whimsy to any bouquet. As the seasons change and kids go back to school these flowers get more vibrant in color with the cold. We definitely will miss this lady as she heads off to school today 😢, but we are excited to hear about her new adventures and know she will do great things!

Craspedia is in! Such unique yellow sphere flowers that do well fresh or dried. They add such texture and quickly modernize any arrangement. We had trouble last year growing them from seed, but this year they did well! Such beauties we will always have in our gardens. Lisianthus is a long lasting beauty in our fields! They can be picked and thrive in a vase for at least two weeks. To grow them you need time and patience, but once in bloom we are in love 🥰. These beauties are available for wholesale and will be in our mixed bouquets in the roadside stands. If you are a florist in need of gorgeous lisianthus, let us know and we will harvest them for you. Who doesn’t like to snack while working? Especially when the snack is certified organic…

There are a wide range of flavors, textures, and colors! In this edible series that we’re going to show, we will walk you through the various flowers and how they taste. Today we focus on zinnias, marigolds, and amaranth.

Marigolds have a soft texture; kind of like butter, but they taste citrusy and tangy. Zinnias are slightly bitter but would be amazing in a nice cold beverage or a few petals sprinkled over fresh greens. Amaranth seeds are slightly nutty, but the leaves are more like Swiss chard.

All flowers dress up a dish beautifully - either as a whole bloom or with just the petals. Stay tuned for more info regarding the other edible flowers and herbs we grow! If you want or need any edible flowers, just let us know!

The Lisianthus Line Up! I don’t want to say this too loud, but we love ❤️ lisianthus more than dahlias 😊. There… we said it… We appreciate dahlias and grow about 10,000 of them, but Lizzie’s are so special to us. It is a flower that we first grew when we started farming and used in the first wedding we ever designed for. It comes in so many beautiful colors and it lasts so long in a vase! We will be re-stocking our stands with these beauties tomorrow afternoon! If you are a wholesaler who loves lisianthus, they are gorgeous this week and ready! We grew them in apricot, champagne, green, white double, white triple, lavender, pucino, blush, purple, and Roseanne. Enjoy the gorgeous blooms 😊
