Kayla Wormuth grew up following her mom, Jeanne Wormuth to the barn every day.

That early love led to showing cows through 4-H, studying dairy science at Cornell University, working for Patterson Farms, Inc. after graduation, and eventually returning home to Half Full Dairy.

This photo stood out—no prompting, no posing. Just a real moment that felt very them.

Kayla with a calf. Jeanne smiling in the background.

And the lifetime of small moments not pictured that led here. ❤️

Jeanne & Kayla Wormuth — two incredible working across four farms via Half Full Dairy.

One thing I’ve seen again and again in the women I’ve interviewed for Women of Dairy is a genuine, unshakable passion for the dairy industry and the animals they care for. Jeanne and Kayla embody that in such a real way—there’s an energy about them that you feel right away.

You’ll be hard-pressed to find Jeanne without a smile. After a lifetime in the industry—growing up on a 50-cow dairy in St. Lawrence County—she still shows up with a contagious enthusiasm and an excitement to try new things.

That kind of authentic, tireless passion is a common thread—and it’s incredibly inspiring. It says so much about the care behind the food we rely on every day.

If you’re partial to redhead cows, you’ll love their story even more. So excited to share more with you soon! 🐄

p.s. Pretty sure Jeanne and Kayla have the healthiest barn cats in the Empire State! 😂
