On Saturday October 3rd the Nicholas Stoltzfus Homestead held a dedication service for the new Beiler-Renno pavilion. It was a gathering of about 100 family, friends and neighbors. We have speeches and stories by Nicholas Stoltzfus Homestead Chairman Ben Riehl, Michael Leader son of Governor George Leader, Isaac Beiler descendent of immigrant Jacob Beiler, Simon Renno descendent of immigrant Joseph Renno, and Neal Stoltzfus descendant of immigrant Nicholas Stoltzfus. The conclusion of the service was the reading of the Lords Prayer led by Mervin King, board member in German, followed by the singing of the LobLied (Love song).
We are looking forward to the completion of the exterior logs real soon, followed by a kitchen that will include a stove, refrigerator and hot water.
The facility will be available for family reunions, corporate events and special gatherings. We have a collection of yard games, such as corn hole, flag croquet, volleyball, pickleball, etc. We are located beside the Tulpehocken Creek and the trails of the Berks Park. The Wyomissing Dutch Market is just around the corner. Only minutes away from the local West Reading shops and local restaurants.

Somehow a tiny bit of fur showed up by my flower bed about 10 days ago—either dumped or crawled inside a vehicle. She fits in my two hands and has a purr that is twice as big as she is. She really needs someone to give her a good home. I wormed her and she’s litter box trained. Any takers?
