This guy. The ladies like him and he's good to them, often sitting near the nestbox when they are laying an egg. He is quite loud when announcing an egg has been laid. He is totally non-aggressive and follows me like a puppy dog would.
His offspring are calm and large, all white. A North Star farm hatch from mother's day, 2023.

Here is hatch #2 of 2024 at 2 weeks. A different line of American Bresse from NC.
Amazing difference in behavior between the 1st and 2nd group. The first group had a somewhat nervous mama and that behavior passed onto the chicks, while this group had a mellow mama and the chicks behavior has followed.
No black spots in either group.

One benefit of American Bresse and their quick growth is the early feathering. Here is my first 2024 hatch at 5 weeks old. Mama had enough and went back with the flock while these chicks spent their first night out without her last night.
