Yummy, Yummy Garlic Scapes!
These are the long flower sprouts that hard-neck garlic sends up from the main stem. Trim them off and grill them for a tasty, seasonal treat 🤤 I hear that you can eat them fresh too but we haven’t tried that yet.

We spent the better part of the last week at the coastline enjoying some much needed time off and family time. The weather was generally cooperative for this early season and we got to spend time in the sand and water, chasing the kids on their bikes and enjoying the campfire.

Our first naturally hatched ducklings! Congrats Momma! 💕 Our Drake is a copper ripple and our hens are porcelain, fume, lilac and chocolate. I don’t know much about muscovy color genetics so I’m excited to see how they mature.

Pullet time!

We have 15 Black Copper Marans (BCM) Pullets that are 6.5 -8 weeks old (the couple older ones are from a previous hatch.)

*My disclaimer is that I am reasonably sure these are pullets, but it’s not guaranteed. I’ve been correct so far at sexing them by this age, but there is a chance that a cockerel could be a late bloomer and sneak by. We had 18 cockerels and 15 pullets with this hatch.

🩷 BCM Pullets 15 available at $18 each (5 left)
💙 BCM Cockerel 1 available at $12 each

Extra Available Oddities 🤣
🐓 Leghorn x Barred Rock (I think it’s a girl? 🤷‍♀️ I’ve been able to rule out 2 boys, but it is hard to tell with this cross) $10 6 weeks old
🟤 BCM Pullet 1 (has has a funny, more white than usual head since hatch) $15 (claimed)
🐣 3 Black, Back-cross Olive Egger chicks that their new home never came for. Unsexed. 2 weeks old. $9 each
