We proudly specialize in raising rare heritage breed chickens, turkeys, and Berkshire hogs the good old fashioned way – roaming freely on organic pasture and woodlands. Our animals are humanely raised in their natural enviro
nment. They’re never caged, confined, raised inside barns, or housed in “portable tractors.” They free range foraging on organic pasture and woodlands, and have access to all natural grains, orchard grass, and treated to fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables from our organic garden. Our hogs are born, raised, and processed on our farm, and we never use gestation for farrowing crates. We are currently building up our poultry breeding stock and as soon as we can we plan to hatch our own eggs. On our farm we believe in preserving old heritage breeds, so we only raise heritage livestock in order to help preserve historic and rare breeds that are now threatened with extinction. While they may be slower maturing their flavor, meat characteristics, and cooking qualities are far superior to the more popular commercial breeds.
