What a s**t day!
Our sweet Dottie girl went into labor early, she was not due until 8/18. After having to help her finish delivering, her beautiful baby boy was never able to take a breath. I am beyond heartbroken for her, she was needing medical care but she still wanted to clean him and kept nudging him trying to get him up. It was truly heartbreaking and awful to witness. I love all my girls and my heart is breaking for her right now. We don’t know what happened or why she went into labor so early. It could have been he passed in utero, and that sent her body into labor but either way I am greatful for the help and guidance of our vet.
Dottie seems stable for now, iv fluids and meds will hopefully help get her back to physically feeling like herself, mentally i will be administering a heavy dose lots animal crackers, barn naps with mom and red apples all of her favorite things!
