We’ll spend time learning the basics, working with dough, and helping you feel confident bringing sourdough into your own kitchen. You’ll leave with your own dough ready to rise, a freshly baked loaf, an active starter, my mini sourdough book, and a few goodies to get you started!

We have something fun planned, and we'd love for you to join us!

On Saturday, October 31st, from 3–5 PM, we're opening up the farm for a special Halloween Farm Stand & Mini Photo Session! Think adorable costumes, a little farm charm, warm hot cocoa, and some sweet memories with your kiddos. 🍁

And here's the best part... We're offering these mini sessions FREE this year! A little something from our family to yours and a way to say thank you for supporting our little farm. ❤️

There’s something really special about getting to photograph the people you love, especially when they invite you into a place that means so much to them. 🤍

I had the sweetest time spending the day with one of my close friends and her family at their farm, capturing their yearly family photos and all the little pieces of farm life that make their story uniquely theirs.

Being able to photograph not only their family, but also some of the work they’ve been putting their hearts into for an exciting new project, was such an honor. There’s something beautiful about getting to document these in-between seasons, before everyone else gets to see what’s taking shape.

I can’t share too much just yet, but I will say this… keep a close eye on Archie Hills Family Farm. Something really special is coming, and I’m so excited to watch it unfold. 🌿🤎

So grateful for friendships like this, and for the opportunity to capture the people, places, and stories that matter most.

A little Oak Creek update from our family. 🤍🌿

For those of you who are close to us, you know this summer has brought some really hard changes for our family.

My grandpa passed away in the middle of June, and just two weeks ago, my dad lost his long-fought battle with cancer and left us as well.

As you can imagine, our family has needed to step back for a little while. We’ve needed time to be together, be with the people we love, and simply make space to grieve. So if you’ve noticed the farm stand hasn’t been open as regularly, that’s why. ❤️

At the same time, our little farm is entering a new season.

Our kids are growing up and starting lives of their own, and life is naturally shifting and changing around here. Jess has also been given the opportunity to spend a little more time doing something she has always loved—photography. As she begins to make room for more family, maternity and sports sessions, we’re finding a new rhythm that allows all of these pieces of our life to fit together.

Because of that, a few things at Oak Creek are going to look a little different moving forward.

The farm stand is reopening THIS FRIDAY and will be open Friday–Sunday moving forward! 🎉

And so much of what you love about Oak Creek is staying.

🌿 Pasture-raised meats
🥚 Farm-fresh eggs
🫙 Preserved foods
🐐 Goat’s milk soap
🥛 Fresh goat’s milk coming back in the spring

All of these will continue to be available at the stand throughout the weekend.

And we’re especially excited to share that our Community Corner is staying! ❤️ We love having a little space for local makers, farmers and small businesses, and we’re so excited to continue that into this next season.

Our baked goods will be changing just a little, too. Baked goods will now be available on Fridays by preorder only. This gives Jess the flexibility to continue doing something she loves at the farm while also having some weekends available for photography.

This isn’t the end of Oak Creek. It’s just a new season.

A little slower. A little different. But still the same heart behind it.

Family. Community. Good food. Small businesses. And a little place where you can come through the gate and feel welcome.

Thank you for giving our family grace through this season. Thank you for continuing to support us, even when we’ve had to step away. And thank you for being part of our Oak Creek community.

There is something so special about getting to capture a growing family. 🤍

As a mama of four myself, maternity and family sessions are some of my absolute favorite things to photograph. There’s just something about those little in-between moments—the connection, the anticipation, the love—that makes these sessions so meaningful to me.

This sweet little family was SO much fun to work with, and I’m already so excited to share more from their session. 🥹✨

There’s something about a stormy sky that makes you stop and look a little longer. 🌩️🌅

This season, we’re choosing to slow down a little. To spend more time around the table, draw closer to family, and make room for the things that matter most.

Sometimes in the middle of building a farm, growing a homestead, running a business, and keeping up with all the moving pieces, it’s easy to forget why we started.

We started this journey for a simpler life. For our family. For the opportunity to grow something together, to teach our kids where their food comes from, to work with our hands, and to build a place that feels like home.

So as the seasons change, we’re reminding ourselves that the goal was never to simply do more.

It was to be present.

To make memories.

To gather our people close.

And to be grateful for the little moments that make all the hard work worth it. 🤍

Maybe this season is a reminder for you, too, to slow down and come back to what started it all.

September is here, and I am SO excited about this month's subscription. This one feels like a little piece of fall wrapped up and delivered straight from my kitchen table. 🤎
