We love this time of year and for an odd reason. It is kudzu season! It grows wild on the farm and we use it to cut feed costs. This invasive plant can grow 12 to 18 inches a day. Guess what goats love it. Apparently people can eat it too. I am a bit scared to try it but maybe someday if I get hungry enough.

We have nest sitters! Our chocolate turkey has a clutch in the woods been looking for her for a week. The other chocolate hen has just started. We also have 2 mixed Batman hens, 2 khaki Campbell's, and 2 muscovy nests! Our special girl Helen (she has been blind for 3 years) the pekin duck is also starting a clutch!! Looks like they heard about the incubators and are taking matters in their own wings. Now if we could just get Petunia the goat to give us our kids!!
