Cimpl's Meat Packing plant in Yankton was founded in 1949 by Laddie, John, and Jim Cimpl. With 15 original employees, the plant was capable of dressing and processing 125 cattle and 100 hogs per month. Cimpl's now has over 250 employees and capacity of 500+ cattle a day! In October of 1988 Cimpl's was purchased by Rosen's Diversified Inc., which would later merge in 2005 to what is now American Foods Group, LLC.
