We chose the name Elementary Farm to represent the idea that we're still learning and we desire to continue learning as we build our farm. Our journey started decades ago as we began learning about growing and preserving our own food. Ironically, my wife and I never imagined running a farm but after raising our first Chickens (chickens are the gateway drug to farming) we started thinking there mi
ght be more we could do. We've recently settled in rural West Virginia to take our next step towards becoming self sufficient. For us, this is a journey not a destination.
