We have lots and lots of Garlic, Milkweed, Oregano, Russian Tarragon, and Goldenrod in abundance - it's almost all getting dug up and going into the compost bins unless you rescue it!

Come over today and we'll help you dig your own, give planting advice, etc. They've free, and easy to grow - get you some! :D

It's a great time to plant garlic -- since garlic plants are cold-hardy, these over-wintered starts are already happily growing!

We have more than we can eat already -- so we've dug up a few hundred to share with y'all; they're sitting on our porch at 1340 Meadow Lane (off Allen St), free for the taking. If you want more, we have all you can handle and more! :)

If you prefer green garlic (like scallions), we have plenty for that use as well.

We've got plenty of Goldenrod in addition to the garlic and milkweed -- if you'd like to add some to your yard, it's easy to transplant, and grows happily (it tends to spread, but can be controlled by mowing, etc.)

We have lots of garlic *plants* available -- fall is a great time to transplant garlic (you'll get a primo harvest next summer!)

And we've got plenty of milkweed, too -- and it's all free; get you some! :P

We've got plenty of free milkweed, too -- from little shoots like the ones in this pic to full-size giants; in most cases, all you really need are the nice fat roots, with any plant attached to them as a bonus. We're starting to dig up & compost the extras to make space in the garden, so now is a good time to get any you want!

We've also got plenty of Goldenrod -- great late-summer/fall flowers to keep our local bees happy.

As always, late afternoon is best -- just give us a heads-up earlier in the day, so we can let you know if/when we'll be around.

We've been harvesting garlic this week -- and as usual, have more than we need. So if you want garlic, come get it -- as usual, it's free for the taking!

This garlic is great for cooking, or planting, as you wish -- it's a bit on the small side due to being overcrowded, but at no dollars and zero cents, whaddya expect?!? :D

One of the great things about growing your own garlic is that you get a spring harvest of Garlic Scapes (the edible and delicious young flowering stem). They're great for cooking as an herb (use like garlicky green onions or chives), and even better when featured in a garlic pesto.

For the next few weeks, we'll have plenty of scapes ready for you to pick -- as always, they're free and organically grown; come get some!

Here's a random group of garlic plants I pulled out to make room for some other plants, showing how to use this "green garlic" by separating the bottoms (which are now single undifferentiated garlic bulbs used like regular cloves) from the tops, which can be used much as you'd use green onions (salads, etc.)

Come get some - they are free and tasty!
