It’s funny how life works…
Sometimes the people who knew you first don’t fully understand the dream you’re building. They may love you, but they remember the old version of you—the one before the business idea, before the creativity, before the courage to try something new.
Then, out of nowhere, a stranger sees your work.
They like your post.
They share your video.
They buy your first product.
They leave a kind comment when you were ready to give up.
They tell someone else about your small business.
And suddenly, that “stranger” becomes part of your story.
Your biggest supporters may not always be the people closest to you. Sometimes they are the people who discover your talent online, connect with your message, and believe in what you are creating before they even know your name.

**HIGH. DRY. HOT.**

Well… at least one thing is drying around here. 😂

Hang a towel on the clothesline and in about **5 minutes** it’s dry.
Clothes? Dry.
Towels? Dry.

Me? **Absolutely NOT.** 🥵

At 102°, working outside on the farm means sticky, sweaty, dusty and just plain **hot & bothered.** There is nothing particularly glamorous about it.

But here’s the good part…

**Your skin doesn't have to feel dry just because the air does.**

Our goats have endless access to clean, fresh water — and right now, at these temperatures, that means filling water buckets **hourly**. Because healthy goats make good milk, and good milk makes really lovely goat milk soap.

So while the Ozarks are giving us **high heat and zero humidity**, we’re still making soap that leaves your skin feeling clean, soft and cared for.

But your skin?

**That’s where good goat milk soap comes in.** 🐐🧼

Now excuse me while I go find some shade. 😂 We are in and out often!

I met with a couple today for pork pick up - a couple Jim met at an event many years ago..they had an old old buiness card......they know my soaps too...standing in the heat and bright sun....for over an hour...he grew up in a family of butchers...he proccsed hogs all fall / winter before school .....we talked of farming from years ago...and the price of an acre....values...and being blue collar workers.....I feel so under estimated and so very seen today.......💙

**DOES IT MATTER WHAT YOUR SOAP IS MADE FROM?**

But like every bar there is a story.....💙

**Lard is there because that's where my roots are.** Lard has been part of homesteading and soapmaking for generations. We raise pigs here on the farm too. We don't render our own lard — I buy it from a supplier — but the connection is still important to me.

And lard makes a **wonderfully creamy, conditioning bar** of soap with a rich, gentle lather.

**Olive oil** brings a different quality. It's known for making a **mild, moisturizing bar** with a soft, silky feel.

And **coconut oil**? That's the workhorse. It helps create the **big, bubbly lather and cleansing power** that we expect from a good bar of soap.

Then there's **goat milk**, of course — straight from our dairy goats.

None of these ingredients alone makes the soap. It's how they work together, in the right proportions, that makes the bar.

So, does it matter what your soap is made from?

**Maybe not when you first pick up the bar. But I think it matters when you know the story behind it.**

Because around here, even the ingredients have roots. 🐐🐖🧼

**Hot. Bothered. And still marching on.**

Farming is a whole lot more *hard* than it looks from the outside.

Over the last few days, a few of our retailers have been restocked, and I’m still somewhere between disbelief, awe, and gratitude.

Especially for my repeat customers online.

Through all the recent changes, you keep finding me. Time after time. You seek me out, you come back, you order again.

**It is YOU who have branded me. ** Not a logo. Not a trend. Not some clever marketing plan. You. Get. It

And then there are moments like this little buckling that remind me why perseverance matters so much.

He is carrying genetics I care deeply about — a legacy and a history that represents a lifetime of work. From coast to coast, through keeping obscene numbers of records, selecting, improving, breeding, and preserving the things that matter.

This little guy is a close descendant of my late Hezekiah. He carries his personality, along with Chocolate Eclair

His mother, on the other hand, has more of those stereotypical *undesirable* traits — including a very loud personality. 😂 We love her - Ms. Veronica. (Her sister, Victoria, is the total opposite; that's another story)

And yet… **this is why she stays.**

Because sometimes you have to look past the obvious.

You have to understand true value.
You have to tolerate inconvenience.
You have to persevere.
You have to have faith in things not yet seen — but always hoped for.

Farming teaches you that over and over again.

So does life. ❤️
