🎸🦙 Live from Lucky Us Farm! 🎶💚

Every musician dreams of an adoring audience!🎵

All you need is a guitar, a pasture, and a few alpacas who appreciate good music!

No tickets, no hecklers, just a field full of fluffy fans gathering around to enjoy their own private concert.

Patrick Patrick Wolfkill certainly knows how to work a crowd - especially one that's all ears ears! 🎸🦙💕

And judging by the turnout, he’s already got quite the alpaca following! 😂💕

🍂 Fall elegance, with a little llama flair. 🦙✨

This past weekend, Lucky Us Farm was transformed into an absolutely stunning autumn wedding setting. A gorgeous bride, breathtaking décor, and thoughtful details everywhere you looked. 🤍

Even the reception tables were named after some of our favorite herd members. (We're trying not to let the fame go to their heads.) 🦙

And then there was Conswala. 👑

Our resident queen has never looked so fabulous! Her personal designer Suzanne Patackis Leopold outdid herself! Dressed for the occasion, she had the very important honor of escorting the bride down the aisle. Well… most of the way. 😂 A little stage fright got the best of her, and she decided to make an early exit.

Fortunately, she redeemed herself by graciously posing for photos with the wedding guests. A true celebrity knows her strengths. 📸

Elegance, romance, autumn beauty, and just the right amount of llama unpredictability. 🍁

Congratulations to the beautiful couple, Joanna and Scott! Thank you for letting our farm — and our herd — be part of your unforgettable day. 🤍

A special fall weekend. 🍁

My sister and her two best friends from childhood spent the weekend with us on the farm — and we did all the things. 🦙❤️

They survived the infamous Eleanor sniff-down. 😬
Walked llamas in the park. 🦙
Hung out with the herd in the pasture. 🌱
Sipped cocktails on the Alpaca Patio. 🍷
Explored the National Apple Harvest Festival. 🍎
And made needle-felted fiber pumpkins. 🎃

Sometimes I’m so busy working on the farm that I forget how much fun it is to just play here.

This weekend was one of those wonderful reminders. And I couldn’t have asked for better people to enjoy it with. ❤️

Good friends, fall weather, llamas, cocktails and a little fiber crafting... pretty hard to beat.

Sometimes I watch Lady Bird and think… what exactly is going on inside her head? 🤔

No destination.
No emergency.
No apparent reason.

Just ✨ THOUGHTS → LEGS → GO!!! ✨

I’m pretty sure her inner monologue is just:
“WHEEEEEEEEEEEEE!” 😂

Time to spin! 🧶

There’s something pretty special about a circle of women, a room full of spinning wheels, and a few hours spent turning fiber into yarn. 🧶🤎

I recently started spinning with this wonderful group, who meet monthly to enjoy their wonderful craft alongside each other. This month I was lucky enough to host in the Llama Lounge, and I’m loving it. The conversation, the encouragement, the shared tips and tricks—and, of course, seeing what everyone is creating.

There’s always something new to learn, and it’s even better when you get to learn it alongside people who are happy to share what they know. Soon I'll be weaving my beautiful handspun yarn into a scarf! Mill spun yarn is lovely, but handspun yarn is next level. 🤗🐑🦙

Good conversation, busy hands, spinning wheels, and lots of laughter. I think the Llama Lounge was made for afternoons like this. ❤️

🍂🐈‍⬛ Meet Chicken — living her best barn-cat life.

Seven years ago, a stray cat named Tammy decided Lucky Us Farm looked like a pretty good place to settle down. Apparently, she really liked it, because shortly after arriving she quietly delivered four kittens somewhere on the farm.

We had no idea. 😂

A couple of weeks later, we discovered Tammy’s little secret: three girls and one boy. Two of the kittens found wonderful homes, while Tammy, Chicken and Duckie officially became part of the Lucky Us crew.

Today, they share the farm with five other barn cats — and there have been no more surprise litters. Everyone has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and promoted to professional farm-cat status. ❤️

And honestly, it’s not a bad gig.

Cozy beds tucked into the hay barn.
Acres of territory to patrol.
Endless hunting opportunities.
And the occasional human willing to provide scratches and snacks.

Our barn cats may not get quite as much attention as the llamas, alpacas and sheep, but they’re very much part of this farm and we love having them here.

And since eight hardworking barn cats can put away an impressive amount of food, we are always grateful for cat-food donations from our visitors. 🐾❤️

Okay… this one might be hard to top. 🎸🦙

Saturday night on the Alpaca Patio was just one of those nights.

The Other Guys - PA were incredibly talented, ridiculously entertaining, and somehow managed to keep an all-request show rolling all night long. You asked. They played. We sang. We laughed. And yes… there were plenty of alpaca hugs in between. 🦙❤️

The patio was glowing under the twinkle lights, the music was fantastic, and the whole evening had that cozy, laid-back Lucky Us Farm kind of magic.

More than one person told us this was their favorite event yet — and we think they might be onto something. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who spent their Saturday night with us, and a huge thank you to The Other Guys PA for such a fun night.

🎸✨🦙 Good music. Good people. Fluffy company.

We’re definitely going to need to do this again.
