Tilly! This little kid is fearless!

Tilly, an 8 month llama, arrived at Lucky Us Farm on Saturday. When most animals leave familiarity to start their forever life in a new home, it can be pretty scary. New friends, new herd rules, gotta find the water, what time does dinner get served? So much to figure out.

Most llamas need a few days (or longer!) to acclimate, especially when they don't arrive with an established friend. But not this kid! She was born ready and eager for every new adventure!

We took her for her first walk less than 2 days after her arrival. She set out like she's done it 100x before. A neighbor came out to pet her ...no problem. A loud car drove by... Just a curious glance. Boy are we going to have fun together! What adventures await?!

Pinch me... She's home! Yesterday Kevin and I drove to Lodi, NY to pick up Rozzy (pregnant!) and Jackie (adamantly has no interest in becoming a mother) and our newest addition, Tilly! A huge thank you to Rachel Diamond who owns Tilly's parents and raised her with great care until she could be ours. 💕

I've been dreaming about this llama from the moment I first laid eyes in her a couple of months ago. You'll understand when you meet her 😉 She's 8 months old, silkier and fluffier than you can imagine! And for those of you that remember Frankie... She's Frankie-esque. 🤗

She has bonded herself to Eleanor. She follows Eleanor everywhere she goes. And even though Ellie has a hard time showing it, she's secretly smitten. 😉
