Shop handmade gift items & decor pieces, crafted from our homegrown, preserved flowers, at local makers markets! Local Stems Flower Farm is a small cut flower farm in York, PA. We specialize in homegrown, all-natural, freshly cut flower bouquets during the months of June through October. However, please note that we are currently CLOSED for the 2023 growing season, due to Cassie's maternity leave. Unfortunately, this means no fresh flower sales of any kind this year.

This is the final photo I took in the garden last year. Maybe not the prettiest, but it feels fitting for the close of 2025 and start of a new year. Each faded flower is filled with seeds that hold the potential for new life and transformation 🌱 I wish everyone a 2026 filled with that kind of hope and growth, as well as more time spent with family, friends, and flowers too 🌸 Happy New Year!

That’s a wrap on makers markets this holiday season! What an incredible four weeks of shows it was! THANK YOU to everyone who chose to shop small, local, and handmade this year, especially if you stopped by my booth at a Creatively Lancaster or Forty Elephants show 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼 I hope you felt like a customer, not a consumer because I value our interactions so much! Every single purchase or kind word made my day. Regardless of how many sales I received, I felt like a million bucks after every market thanks to wonderful shoppers, friendly vendors, and supportive family. You know who you are! From the bottom of my heart, thank you 🩷

I am so grateful for all the wonderful and kind customers I’ve met over the last few weeks and very excited to finish the holiday season strong with TWO markets this weekend! Saturday at the Creatively Lancaster Holiday Makers Market or Sunday at the Forty Elephants Vintage & Handmade Market “Gen X-Mas Edition” (details for both below or in last pictures of this post) will be the final chances to pick out a gift or stocking stuffer from my flower-filled booth. I’ve been busy this week restocking ornaments, bookmarks, decorative candles, and more, so there’s still so many different flower varieties and designs to choose from! As always, my items are homegrown naturally and handmade thoughtfully right here in East York, PA. I hope you’ll stop by this weekend to say hi, chat flowers, and maybe take home a floral treasure for you or someone you love 😊

Can you guess what these fun flowers are??

They’re actually azaleas, like the popular flowering bush 🌸 I pressed a few this spring as a trial and was pretty pleased with how they came out!

Aren’t Forget-Me-Nots just the sweetest? 🩵 Whether you’re drawn to them for their unique blue color, dainty petite blooms, or deep meaning of love and remembrance, they seem to be a favorite by so many! This includes the bumblebees in the garden, so they’ll always be a must-grow for me 🐝

Cosmos 🩷💛🧡 Easy to grow but tedious to press (I have to trim down the puffy center of each flower to keep them nice and flat), these colorful cosmos are totally worth it! I love this year’s colors, especially the orange! Which color do you want on your Christmas tree?

The next opportunities to shop my flower-filled pieces are at Creatively Lancaster’s Holiday Makers Markets on Dec 6th and 13th. Both markets are 10am-4pm at Greenfield Lancaster (1740 Hempstead Rd, Lancaster, PA). Hope to see you there!

Dara 😍 These beautiful blooms are some of my very favorites, fresh or pressed! Inside the ornaments, they transform into special floral snowflakes for your Christmas tree 🎄❄️ and just like snowflakes, each one is unique! Do you prefer clear or black background??

These and other pressed flower ornaments will be available next at the Creatively Lancaster Holiday Makers Market on December 6th, 10am-4pm at Greenfield Lancaster.

For the next three Saturdays, Local Stems Flower Farm will be participating in holiday makers markets by Creatively Lancaster! First up is Small Business Saturday, Nov 29th, at Spooky Nook Sports!! (Details below) I will have pressed and dried flower ornaments, bookmarks, bouquets, decorative candles, and more. All of my work is homegrown and handmade in east York, PA.

Thank you to everyone considering shopping small this weekend and all season long. It’s an important year to be intentional with our spending, and stopping by a local makers market or event is a wonderful way to do so while having fun too! I appreciate the support so much ❤️💚

I’ll be showcasing each flower variety in this year’s pressed flower ornament collection, starting with the fan favorite from last weekend’s market: pansies!

I saved hundreds of these adorable blooms throughout the spring, so I will definitely be assembling more ornaments, so I’m restocked with pansies for the Creatively Lancaster Makers Market on Small Business Saturday (Nov 29th, 10am-4pm at Spooky Nook Sports)!
