I am sitting in Delaney's room doing her bedtime on the last day of August, and reflecting on the month. And I gotta tell you that I am grateful, and I gotta tell you the reasons why:
This is our 6th august as a farm and a business. We have come to call August the "August Slump". If you are a White Clover employee, go ahead and confirm in the comments how stressed your boss usually is in August... We are typically very lucky if we break even this month. What with vacations and back to school etc. It is the normal rhythm of the farmstand business. And usually our fall season makes up for it.
Well this month was different. And the only explanation is you, because we did most things the same! 😆. Thank you for showing up this month. For coming to our candle sale (now you know what we have it in August). For coming to bread day. For choosing us for your meat, your produce, your baked goods, your family fun. You helped make this a record breaking August for our little farm. And I am sure my team would thank you too, for a less stressed boss!!!
It was a crazy month all around. My wife and daughters birthday, a short 2 day trip to the beach, a tornado, a flood, a candle blowout sale with 3000 candles, 3 employees heading off to college and new folks coming on board. I am grateful to you for keeping us paying our bills through it, and im grateful for my relationship with God keeping me grounded through it.
