Our kids decided to have a vote at the dinner table to see who liked which chicken sausage the most. 🗳️🐔

Team Brown (aka the Sweet Italian sausage) secured a victory tonight with 75% of the majority vote, while Team Green (aka spinach & feta sausage) received the remaining 25% of the vote.

Surprisingly our kids love both varieties, no fast food drive-thus here.

Our brown sugar chicken sausage is a delightful combination of sweet and savory flavors. It’s versatile enough to be used as a breakfast sausage or enjoyed on its own with roasted vegetables. We’re particularly excited about using it in stuffed acorn squash this fall. 🍂

Why Choose Pasture-Raised Poultry?

The picture should speak for itself. It’s clear to see that in this picture and here at Double Arrow Acres, pasture-raised poultry is grown directly on fresh pasture and provided nonGMO, soy-free, corn-free feed. The poultry can forage naturally and stress-free on grasses, plants, and insects.

For all you science loving friends out there; research suggests that pasture-based diets can contribute to higher levels of vitamin E, carotenoids, and beneficial omega-3 fatty acids in poultry meat versus conventional production systems. Along with being a naturally rich source of high-quality protein, pasture-raised poultry is a perfect way to support traditional, regenerative farming and enjoy wholesome food from responsibly raised animals.

Know your labels, know your farmer.

One of our easiest chicken meals. Place the whole, thawed bird in a crockpot, add a little water, seasoning of your choice and set it on low for 6 hours. Come home to a house smelling heavenly and the meat of the chicken will fall right off the bone. The remaining liquid in the crockpot is perfect to freeze or use immediately as chicken stock.
