Last lamb of 2016 born to Tootsie this morning! Now we are done! She is a tiny little thing, I was not planning on breeding her mom as she is tiny, we will see how the next few days go. Right now she is doing pretty good!

Experimenting with dying today! Have my marigold dye made and ready, just simmering the yarn in the fixative now.....so excited to see how this comes out! I have had the marigold in the freezer waiting for this day for awhile now. The grey yarn is my Icelandic, the middle white one is targhee that I handspun and the third is an alpaca -merino blend I bought last weekend at the NH sheep and wool festival. ( I think I need a merino sheep on the farm, don't you?)

These three are headed off to their new home in a few weeks, aren't they gorgeous? Panda and her two twin ewe lambs! Ahhhh, I will miss them, but am glad they are going to a good home. Needing to downsize a bit, I have one ewe left for sale, Brixham and her ewe lamb. Tara and her twins are off to a great home in Owlshead in a few weeks as well!

Of course Tara decides to lamb this evening, and we return from picking Dylan up at her prom to two black lambs.....a ewe and a ram lamb, one of each! I am so tired, I clipped their cords, dipped them in iodine, got mama and lambs into the lambing jug, gave her molasses water and fresh hay and am off to bed! Tomorrow is another day!

Oh my heart.....Snowdrop's twin lambs are laying down next to our great pyr "Chewie", so sweet and he is oblivious......

Brixham and her day old lamb joined the rest of the flock outside to enjoy the sun. I think I will put them back into a lambing jug tonight, the lamb is a peanut!

I came home this afternoon to Juliet's twins, both absolutely gorgeous! A ewe lamb and our second ram lamb of the year. The spotted moorit( mostly white) is the ram lamb. They are happily in the lambing jug with mama now.
